IF you are an out of state person the cost might not seem too bad but $14 for every visit if you live outside of St Louis County starts to add up. 

The botanical gardens should change their prices to a flat rate for everyone to resolve the issue of prices being all of the place. If the residents of St Louis County don't agree to this then change the gardens should charge children 9 and up. Kids under the age of 9 won't be found at the gardens so they wont bring an income. But there are kids about the age of 10 who start to want to go to places like the botanical gardens.
