4. originated in cuba, used in low class dances and are very fast. they where common to be in theaters and films. This type of music is for clubbing, very hyped up for drinking. It more of a fun type of music then love, or emotional song, they are used just for fun at clubs.

2. To have them replace the native workers with more capable workers. 
3. The drums motivated people to continue living and helped them celebrate their rituals. 
4. Cha Cha Cha' =&gt; Is a dance of Cuban origin. Started performance in 1953. 
Opinion - It includes lots of beats that makes it a fun fast paced experience.

2. To replace the workers, they thought africans were more suited due to the similar climate between the Caribbean and africa

3. used for communication, entertainment, and prayer

4. (Son) originated in the highlands of eastern Cuba using both European and African instruments and musical customs. Son Cubano draws melodic and harmonic language from Spanish guitar and vocal music.

My opinion: It was meh to me, kind of reminds me of slow Mexican music, with the guitar.
