Jairus, a synagogue leader, approached Jesus, desperate for Him to heal his dying daughter. Jesus agreed to go with him, and a large crowd followed. On the way, a woman with chronic bleeding touched Jesus' garment and was instantly healed. While Jesus was still speaking to her, messengers arrived, informing Jairus that his daughter had died. Jesus encouraged Jairus to have faith.

Upon reaching Jairus' house, Jesus allowed only a few people to enter. Inside, mourners were grieving loudly. Jesus declared that the girl was not dead but asleep, which made the mourners laugh. Taking her hand, Jesus commanded her to rise, and she immediately got up and walked. The witnesses were amazed.

Jesus instructed them to give the girl something to eat and told them to keep the miracle a secret. However, news of the event spread throughout the region.

A woman had suffered terribly from severe bleeding for twelve years. Even though she had been treated by many doctors, instead of getting well, she got even worse all the time, and seeing the doctor left her spending all her money. Upon hearing of Jesus' arrival, she believed that after touching his cloak, she would get well. When she touched Jesus' cloak, she stopped bleeding and got well. The moment she was healed, Jesus felt that power had come out of him and asked who touched him. When the woman fearfully told Jesus the truth, Jesus told her that her faith had healed her and told her to be freed from her suffering.
