I love the idea of the jigsaw activity - I really like this for the junior secondary classroom. Sometimes, students (or their parents) may need to purchase sheet music. The only exception to this is this wonderful website which was created by a Canadian company to enable easy sharing of sheet music that was in the public domain. This means it is out of Copyright. With regard to Australia specifically, the website states that "any work published in the lifetime of an author who died in 1954 or earlier, is out of copyright. The term for authors who died in 1955 or later is 70 years" (IMSLP, 2022). They were able to explain their melodies using musical terminology, and in reference to the musical elements. (eg. My melody's pitch moved up in steps, then moved down in skips).
