The original model (see Figure 1) can now be enhanced by including personality type theory into the four factors impacting team effectiveness. An ESTJ or an ENTJ makes for the perfect leader in general, depending on the work at hand. Instructions and company information will be easily communicated by the departing leader. If the IS being developed is an upgrade to an existing system or if it is focused on a well structured issue that does not necessitate the introduction of new technology, the sensing leader should perform effectively. If the new IS requires the creation of creative solutions to issues that could not be easily understood, the intuitive leader should function best.
