         <title>Jesse Owens and Luz Long</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1936, during the Olympics in Germany, two athletes, Jesse Owens from the United States and Luz Long from Germany, competed against each other in the long jump. Even though they were rivals, they became friends. After Jesse won the gold medal, Luz jumped into the sand to give him a big hug, showing great sportsmanship. This was a big deal because, at that time, many people in Germany believed in ideas that separated people based on their skin color. But Luz and Jesse showed that friendship and kindness are more important than those ideas. Even though Luz was later treated poorly by his country, his act of friendship with Jesse became a famous story about how sports can bring people together, no matter where they're from or what they look like.</p>]]></description>
