This small group of select women joined the Air Force. 1,830 women were selected to do the special training to become apart of the army, but only 1,102 women were actually selected to be apart of the army. These women were asked to be apart of the air force because men were needed  on the battlefield. They spread wartime messages in their native language. Speaking their native language made it so the Germans would not be able to understand the messages, their code was unbreakable.
