I personally think that these shows effect how outsiders perceive these cultures which is also why it’s especially important that depictions are accurate and true to the culture it is representing because there is power in visibility.

I personally have not cancelled my subscription because you simply cannot get Netflix originals anywhere else. This goes to show how strong their marketing is and how great their shows are for me to still be a loyal customer even after how expensive things have gotten.

Im response to Student C’s question, I think other companies can utilize some of Netflix’s social media strategies and and creating online communities for shows and programming via social media to keep viewers wanting more.
