         <title>1834 Cast Iron Stove</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Cast Iron Stove was created by Philo Stewart in 1834. It was made to be small enough for use in the small kitchens back then. The stove was a success and Philo Stewart sold about 90,000. It changed society because it became an easier, smaller way to make food, therefore, a better way of living. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Lowell girls were young nearby farm girls. They would come to work in factories because it would be more than they'd ever get working in the farm. They lived in boarding houses and worked 12 hours a day with Sundays off. Although there were many rules, it was very dangerous and much hard work. These Lowell girls changed society because they provided labor for economic changes to be made. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Mechanical Reaper was invented by Cyrus McCormick in 1847. He opened a factory in Chicago and his invention could do the work of 5 people. It was a machine that gathered and cut grains with the help of a horse to draw it. The Reaper helped out while working on the farm. It changed society by creating an easier way to gather grains and it cut down time and workers.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

Garbage was thrown into streets, There were muddy streets, no sewers, etc. Dirty waste water was often untreated and got into wells and streams. Many people suffered from cholera, a disease due to contaminated water. This changed society because it created a bad environment killing thousands.</p>]]></description>

Lowell soon died and his partners created a factory town named after him. After 15 years, the town had over 10,000 people. It changed society because it created a whole new concept of a factory. It became a town and a home not just a place for work and that was new.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Around 1821, Francis Cabot Lowell's partners created the Lowell Mills Factory Town where Lowell girls and many others lived. In the town, there were boardinghouses for the Lowell Girls but Parents were unsure of letting them go to the city until they heard about these Boardinghouses. In the buildings were many shared bedrooms and a kitchen. This changed society because Lowell Mills provided a place for these girls to live while working. Boardinghouses changed the concerned parents minds to let their daughters go. </p>]]></description>

Wages of the children were often used to help their parents so back then, child Labor wasn't so cruel, In fact, it was helpful. Years later Isaac Singer took the idea and revamp the machine making it the sewing machine popular amongst clothing makers. It cut down time to make shirts and changed society by creating a stable economy. Clothing makers could make more shirts in little time and sell them.</p>]]></description>

That soon helped the blacksmith Thomas Davenport create an electric motor type machine on 1834.
