It gives me insights about the family nursing process that is centered on family rather than its individual. It introduced me to the concept of family coping index as well as preparation of nursing home visits. A bag technique was also shown that gives me the impression of performing nursing procedures with ease and dexterity. Moreover, I also encountered real health situations in the Philippines, looking beyond and realizing how depressed areas are unable to achieve their right to health.

Additionally, being a nurse is not only about providing care for individuals but also for their families and the community as a whole. I have also learned that the family and community are the biggest factors that affect the health status of an individual. This course has really helped me better understand what community health nursing entails and what I can do as a future nurse.

You will get more interactions with the people and it will test how the nurse can utilize resources and how the nurse socializes with the people and how the nurse's ability to teach and provide health care at the same time. The most important thing that I learned is how a family can interact and be part of a community and how it also affects the family itself when it comes to interacting with the community.
