SOMETIMES FORGETTING YOUR KEYS IS NOT BAD

A few weeks ago I went to my friend's house, we talked for two hours, and she told me about a scary experience she had a few months ago.

One day before her birthday, she had to go shopping, because in two days it would be her mother's birthday. She decided to go to a shopping center to buy them since she liked some shoes very much for her mother.

When she arrives at the mall and buys the shoes, she realizes that the key to her house was not there, she felt very distressed since there was no one at home and she would have to wait until 10 pm for her father to return to be able to enter. So she decided to call her dad since her dad's work was a few streets away from the shopping center, but she was going to return because she had seen some dresses that she liked. But when he got to his father's work he decided not to return.

 

When she returned home, she received a message from her father saying that she was at the shopping center because a few minutes ago some thieves robbed a store. Frightened, she turned on the television and saw that the dresses had been stolen from the same store that she had seen. At that moment she thanked for having left the keys that day

Lost in the Jungle
It was getting night and I was arriving at a jungle party, it was my first trip to the jungle.
When I arrived at the party there was a lot of noise and I started to get a headache, so I get away from the party.
As I was walking I found total silence, there was no one there and at that moment I was heading in the wrong direction. I soon realised that I wasn't getting anywhere. Still, finally, I remembered something I'd seen on a survival documentary, about how to get out of the jungle months before but I had changed the channel because it was boring.
While I was lost I only ate mosquitoes, and almost died when I fell into a lake with a crocodile in it after a week of being lost, I was found by a man who collected plants. I had lost 3kg in weight during my time in the jungle.

Fearful of the Jungle 
Two years ago i remembered when i was a child, my family and me were in a expedition, we traveled to Junin in Peru, we have always visited some nearby places but this time my uncle made us an offer, he wanted us to camp in the heart of the jungle of Junin but without communication, we accepted and started the expedition, we decided to stay a week, the first three days were incredible, we had gone to a river to swim and then we saw animals up close, we had a picnic and we created beautiful family moments but fourth day was terrible, starting with the fact that my brother went jogging with my dad and he didn't realize it and he had tripped over a rock falling into an abyss, i think that this happened because the weather was rainy but luckily he didn't get hurt much, he just had broken wrist but we were able to handle it, on the fifth day we noticed that we had finished all the food so there would be nothing for the next day but we didn't  worry much because it would be the last day only we were hungry and we wanted to get away as soon posible of the jungle, we were exhausted  and weak to continue walking, finally we decided not to wait another day and come down from that place to go home and rest.]]> 2023-02-11 01:32:35 UTC https://padlet.com/activeenglishpreparation/i1q88grltwewyftr/wish/2477070894 Gonzalo https://padlet.com/activeenglishpreparation/i1q88grltwewyftr/wish/2477076484 Planning:
- In the swimming pool, I was 5.

- I jumped to the adult and youngest swimming area. i couldn't breath. I almost drowned and died. I couldn't see the buttow of the pool. My feet didn't take the buttow. I was trying to floating.
- Thankfully the lifeguard picked me up. If i hadnt been picked up, i would have survived. 
- I was rescued, but I have never forgot this experience.
WRITING:
I was only child so I spent a lot of time swimming. I didn't used to be shy of swimming or pools. I liked it. Or It used to be before I almost died drowned in the pool. Everyone started one holiday, I was 5 years old. My family had been planning a trip for holidays. Our first plan was a swimmer in a pretty good summer. I was going on bus for 2 hours. It had been having sun all the morning until 2 pm, when we had arrived. First I had eaten in a freshly food restaurant. At the started of evening, I went to the pool, it was amazing, there were huge swimming tobbogan. Many people had been there. So I jumped in the child pool area, my sister and parents were in the adult and youngest area, so I felt alone, I moved there. When I was swam out the yungest area, suddenly, I didn't feel my feet And I panicked. I was going under and it felt like secs I could no longer stay above water. I was trying swimming buy anything helps me to stand in the buttow. A few minutes later, thankfully the lifeguard picked me up. If i hadnt been picked up, i would have survived. Recently happened an earthquake near Turkey, was horrible furthermore there are 15 million people died them some were trapped under the debris from their houses.
Instead, I tell you a particular case about a girl who quiet had been in her house with her little sister who is a baby until suddenly an awful earthquake around 7.8 grades overthrow their house the girls were trapped under a wall and the debris of their house.
They had been trapped for days, and the older sister was afraid for it her sister's health so, she protected her sister's head because her sister is a baby, and she had done it under the debris a tough work.
Finally,  a group of rescue was near them so the girl started to get someone's attention for her rescue suddenly the rescuers realized where were there are.  Türkiye received help from different countries

Monday at dawn in the south of Türkiye and Syria, they had a  7.8 earthquake and the people of the city were sleeping when the houses started to move the people were scared and the people started to go outside others were filming and there you see how people trapped in their houses and others die.
People see that in a church there was a picture of the Virgin Mary that was intact.
Then there is another 7.6 earthquake, the houses fall down, and the roads split in half.
People from different countries start going to help and rescue the people, babies, and children who were in the rubble.
On social media(Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), there are many videos where you can see how they save people, children, and babies.

I always enjoy going out, I really like it. One of the many days that I hung out with friends I´ve had a bad experience. Last week ago, I was at a party with my friends, a birthday´s friend, That was perfect, we danced, sang and jumped there, I was too late when I take up an uber to pick me up. 
I had already been to my house, when he arrived there, I entered and I told him the exact direction, I wrote to my mom and then I fell asleep. 
Minutes later, when I was up, I realized that the driver was going in the wrong direction and I told him it was because the atmosphere was uncomfortable.
I was really nervous. He told me that is a shortcut so I believed him but not all, I´ve been writing to my parents while sending them that direction in real time.
Suddenly, my phone rang, I took it to answer and my mom asked me where I was, so I asked the driver where we were.
I will be honest. I was relieved that He told me the direction in which we were because I knew it was near my house. When I arrived at my house, I thanked him.
My parents have been worried during all my trips home but of luck it was so great, only a scare huge.

It was not a any day , the family Smith will celebrate the lady Olivia's birthday and her dad as always granted all her requests, so a trip to Paris was everything the lady Olivia dreamed. 
The Olivia's mother was Laura , a wonderful woman that she did the impossible to see her beloved daughter happy.

Some weeks before, the Olivia's parents was organizing everything to carry out the trip to France and how they could say her about it.
As the Olivia's mom cooks something delicious in each lunch , she decided to be the person, who notifies her about this big surprise.

 As soon as the mother told her that she would have the best gift, Olivia began to cry with emotion, but at the same time she felt very happy, there were only a few hours left until her birthday. Until the day arrived on April 5th, 1992. When the father left work making sure that he would spend an unforgettable trip with his beloved daughter, the Smith family began to pack all the things, specially Olivia, all ready to go.
