One of the difficulties people face when learning English is pronunciation, especially for those of us who usually speak our respective regional languages. However, even after learning pronunciation, they still experience difficulties, this is due to lack of practice afterwards.

Product of consonant

Consonant production is a sound produced when the mouth is closed tightly, so that the vowel flow is split. These sounds involve partial or complete closure of the vocal tract: for example, placing the tongue behind the front teeth, as with the consonants t and d; or closing the lips, as with the consonants b, m, and p. Most of the letters of the English alphabet are consonants. (https://www-grammarly-com.translate.goog/blog/consonants)

In the consonant production video, it explains that in the phonemic chart there are 24 consonants and in several languages. And this is quite difficult to learn. In the video, Emma, as the speaker, gives an example of how to pronounce consonants correctly.

Production of Vowels

The opposite of consonants are vowels, which do not involve closure of the vocal tract. Vowels differentiate sounds based on pitch, accent, volume, and duration. The vowels are a, e, i, o, and u, and in some cases, y.

Production of Diphtongs

Diphthongs or double sounds are two vowels that are pronounced at once and change their quality from beginning to end when pronounced. (https://id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diphthong) A combination of vowels is called a diphthong if they are still in the same syllable. There are eight different diphthongs in English.

Maybe it will be difficult to learn this pronunciation, because we are always focused on regional languages. But learning to say correctly is not wrong, so that the pronunciation is correct. This pronunciation should not be used in everyday conversation, because even people who can pronounce English do not understand this British English pronunciation. And there is fear of miscommunication.
