This is a setlist performed with a band but also with a couple of acoustic songs in the middle. I put these songs together because I wanted contrast in dynamic by switching back and forth from rock to acoustic. The songs are also different in emotion and rhythm so it keeps the audience engaged and always wondering what is next.

I think the set as a whole was good except for the last song where the wrong rhythm and tempo was played so it took me a while to understand where I needed to come in. I felt the most passion during the acoustic songs because the mic was louder so I could go further and closer to the mic to add dynamic change. My voice gradually got more worn out so I should have drunk some water before the final song but I felt awkward. Next time I will prepare things to say during awkward breaks. My high notes also felt a bit strained at times, especially during the final song so I just need to remember not to push too hard. Some of my falsetto notes felt a bit think as well especially in Feeling good so I just need to make sure that I push out enough air and keep my mouth open but relaxed.

Come as you are was pretty easy to learn because I had already sang it before and all I needed to do was remember some of the lyrics. The band already knew the song so we just practiced it together straight away and got it down in a couple of attempts. We made the instrumental section shorter so it flowed better with the lyrics.

Feeling good was a challenge because of the high notes but I made sure to practice the song a lot, especially certain sections so I was comfortable with it. The band however didn't quite know exactly how some parts of the song went so I tried to explain them but with a limited amount of time we couldn't quite get it so we ended up with a much simpler version of the song which still sounded good.

Magnetised was easy to learn because I already knew the song and because I wanted some harmonies, I let El learn the piano part so I then only had to focus on vocals. I was already used to singing the song so I was developing the dynamics of the song to make it sound more emotional.

Teenage dream was a challenge to learn because the song is in a key which is right on my breaking point. At first, I was learning it with the piano but I was struggling to play it whilst singing so I asked El to learn the piano for me.

The kill was a challenge because the song is very high with a lot of sustained belts and it was too much strain on my voice so I lowered the key and changed some of the notes so it was easier on my voice. When learning it with the band, it was quite tough because we were struggling to get the right rhythm and tempo but we were able to learn the whole song in under an hour. During the bridge, we had the idea to play quieter so I could sing lower and reserve my voice a bit more.

Imagine was pretty simple to learn because it mainly consisted of white notes and the rhythm was quite simple. It didn't take long to learn the lyrics either so I just had to worry about the dynamics.

How to save a life I already knew how to play but I didn't know how to end the song so I tried multiple ideas but in the end went with an octive.

This setlist is an acoustic set which I performed by myself and with an accompanying musician. I performed the solo songs at the start so we would have minimal people coming up and off the stage. We also changed the kill so that it could be acoustic which made it sound really dramatic, great for a final song in a set.

I think this set went pretty well but not as good as the first set because more things went wrong. Imagine was great but I forgot the chords at one point because I hadn't practiced the song recently. I was still pretty happy with how I performed it though and I felt pretty relaxed whilst performing it. Teenage dream felt very slow so it put more strain on my voice so I need to make sure to communicate with my accompanist so we can get the right tempo. Finally, I didn't drink any water before the final song which was a big mistake because my throat was too dry and you could hear the strain on the high notes.
