Hi guys, my name is Christian and I am almost done converting my AA to an AS so that I can enter the bachelors program and pursue a degree in Information Security. I chose Santa Fe because of the flexible scheduling options, and I chose Information Security because it is the intersection between my interests and a growing job market. I am taking this class to build on the basics I learned in CTS1131. I hope to drive in some of the principles I may have not got as much practice in last semester with a more hands-on approach. I enjoy playing and watching most sports and I have season tickets to Orlando City Soccer Club.

My name is Garrett Mashburn and I am not nearly as interesting as that title may make me seem. I chose Santa Fe college as my educational institution for a few reasons. Reason 1: This college has an amazing staff of professors that actually care to see their students succeed. Reason 2: The campus is located relatively close to me and the class sizes are small, allowing for a better learning experience. Reason 3: I'll be totally honest, it's surprisingly affordable and in today's world that an immensely good thing. My major is Networking Infrastructure. I chose this major for the job market that will be available to me when I obtain it and because having a degree in Astronomy isn't nearly as job securing (but it'd be way more fun). I'm taking this class because almost all knowledge is good knowledge, this class will provide me with information and skills that will help me in my future careers, whatever those may be. I hope to learn how to troubleshoot faster, I can usually find the root of the problem, it just takes a while, so being able to work quicker would be fantastic. I don't really feel that I ever have anything interesting to put as my hobbies or aspirations, but I enjoy playing music and video games. As for aspirations I'm just waiting for Elon to ask for volunteers to go to Mars.

Hi my name is Alexander Thornton. I am currently perusing a degree from Santa Fe in Network Server Administration. I chose Santa Fe because it both offer the particular program that I'm interested in, as well as the flexible schedules. I'm taking this class in hopes that it will help me towards my goal of obtaining a bachelors degree from Santa Fe.

I chose santa fe college for my degree because it was near my home, as i work full time and go to school full time. They also had some good choices for computer programs that were a lot cheaper than anywhere else.
My major is network security and Computer information. I picked this course because i have been doing it for over 6 years and dont have a degree and would like to get a higher job. This class fell in line with my major. I also wanted to learn more about hardware as that is my weakest point. I hope to learn about computer hardware where i can easily build my own pc easy and without having help from anyone else. I am into anime and Japan. I have lived in Japan for 10 years of my life and i plan to go back.

I chose SFC because it's in town, affordable, has a good reputation and is great at job placement, and for it's mix in both online/classroom options. I've been with GRU for over 12 years and it's past time for me to take advantage of their tuition reimbursement program and learn me something. Network Infrastructure intrigues me... We will see. I'm excited about the hands-on aspect of this course following the online simulations of CTS1131. Also, as ubiquitous as computers are I'm looking forward to gaining the proficiency to help me
on an everyday, practical level as much as it will on a professional level.
Some things about myself: I have two young girls and a lovely wife; some of work duties involve cutting off power to those who don't pay their utility bill and responding to natural gas leaks; I enjoy routinely failing at gardening

My name these days is Kate Kucharski. (Married, divorced, remarried - if I hyphenated ALL of my names it would be Hakken-Flippen-Kucharski. Fun, huh? That's HACK-ken, FLIP-pen, KooHARskee, in case you were wondering.)

The photo is a few years old, part of a "throw back 40s" project.

I chose Santa Fe College because I used to work at the college as a Police Dispatcher, and back then I had tuition waivers. Despite no longer working at Santa Fe, I like the ITE program here, and I was already registered, so...

I am currently majoring in Programming and Analysis + Network Security. I like that Programming appeals to my Crunch, healthy logical side AND my sugar filled fun creative side.

I hope to relearn what I forgot through the virtual stuff last semester - how to build a computer, the mechanics of hardware, trouble shooting, etc. I have loved computers since playing on the TRS 80 in elementary school... yes, I AM "that old."

My hobbies include: music (trumpet, voice, handbells...) creative writing, theater, art, photography, design, urban farming, and crochet, to name a few. It's great meeting you all.

Hello All! My name is Tony Contes and I chose Santa Fe because it is a great way to spend my GI bill money, and I am very interested in continuing my education within the Information Technology field. I am majoring in Network Infrastructure and want to one day work in the information security field. Understanding Networks seems like a good place to start. With this class I hope to gain a better understanding of the concepts I learned in the previous class. I love to eat food, sleep too much, and play guitar. See you all in class.
