Firefighting is a much needed career and crucial part for the entire world to be and feel safe.

The audience I would present my training methods, would be the governing body that issues certifications for firefighting, city counsel who would fund the training and future fire department leadership.

The 3 methods of technology-based training methods would be Computer based training (CBT), Blended learning, and Virtual reality (simulation).

1) CBT can be effective because students are able to work at their own pace

2) Blended learning, so students can apply the information learned online in real world application.

3) Virtual reality to simulate emergencies without the physical danger, fatigue, and no risk involved.

It's an effective learning model and can be used in more basic firefighting courses.

I would ensure they understand that computer based training, blended learning, and virtual reality can revolutionize firefighter education. By leveraging technology, they can access interactive modules anytime, anywhere and enhance their knowledge. Blended learning combines online materials with hands-on training, optimizing skills development. Virtual reality simulations offer realistic scenarios for firefighters to practice critical decision making in high pressure situations without the hazards associated with it. These 3 methods not only improves learning outcomes but also ensures trainees are well prepared for real life situations they will encounter. It elevates training standards and fosters a safer and more proficient workplace.

We would start by developing or utilizing a pre-made program that utilizes interactive online modules covering fire safety protocols, equipment usage, and emergency response procedures. The modules would be accessible on computers and iPads, allowing them to learn at their own pace. Additionally, we would plan hands-on training sessions that complement the online material, allowing trainees to apply their knowledge in simulated scenarios. Virtual reality would be integrated to create immersive training simulations, replicating realistic fire incidents for them to navigate and respond effectively while being supervised by an instructor. Regular assessments, physical and written, would be used to track progress and provide personalized guidance. By combining these methods we can create a comprehensive and engaging training program that better prepares future firefighters for real world challenges.
