I liked the stinger ticket concept but I didn't think the incentive for the kids was the best we can do. I recall also a phone call home program where we called home to let parent/guardians know about their student getting caught being Safe, Responsible and Respectful. Maybe we could start by creating some kind of slogan or motto of 3-4 positive behaviors that are expected of students at all times. SWPB started with the creation of lesson plans that we used at the beginning of each year to set expectations for behavior in different areas of our school. These lessons created the opportunity for consistency of expectations and the language used to reinforce those expectations, and sets a positive tone for the remainder of the school year, so they are ESSENTIAL to our success. Another aspect of SWPB are the stingers too. We could also do more school wide incentives such as competitions for # of stingers between classes.
