I think this poem is about Rosa Parks based on the evidence in the text. The poem seems to describe her calm attitude as she sat in the "wrong" section of the bus. Rosa was calm and mild mannered during her experience. "Doing nothing was the doing: the clean gaze carved by a camera flash" was the stanza that really stuck out to me because it describes that calmness that Rosa Parks felt as she was arrested on the bus.

This poem is about Rosa Parks. It describes her famous incident on the bus. The poem tells of her doing absolutely nothing wrong, just sitting, and how she stood up for herself when asked to leave. "Doing nothing was the doing" and "How she stood up when they bent down to retrieve her purse.

Rosa Parks decided to sit somewhere that was not assigned for her, which were for the whites. There were also pictures of her on the bench, "Camera Flash".
