My work centers on birds that thrive in urban environments. My process begins with photography, capturing these birds as I encounter them in my daily life, never seeking them out, but allowing the moments to come to me. From these images, I create prints, with a particular focus on cyanotype, a printmaking method that connects to nature through sunlight and water. I want my art to offer a quiet moment of reflection, inviting viewers to pause, observe their surroundings, and take a breath.

My work is all about the women experience. For this project I have been looking into insecurity and how it makes me feel personally. In order to show this feeling, i used sculpture and drawing which tie together and give a sense of tension and defeat.

My experience has shown me that my work tends to grow out of what I am personally interested in or have experienced. I like to use portraiture and still life to explore the past, reflecting on the things that have shaped who I am now, the things that I have enjoyed, and the things that I have not enjoyed up to this point. Upon reflecting on these past and present experiences, I believe they lead to a deeper examination of my emotions at the moment. I believe that art is best developed through the telling of a story involving thoughts and feelings, and when I draw from my own experiences, I am better able to help myself express these emotions through my art. This can be done by using numbers to sequentially represent my emotions and colours to convey my ideas and sentiments. In addition to having personal significance for me, I want my work to be sufficiently universal for others to benefit from it. I'm going to keep doing time-based, socially conscious art.
