Populism is not the future. Because populism is a kind of nationalism against imperialism and globalism. Populism is tearing apart the country and the world, like war. The war needs mobilisation to test the mobilisation ability of the participants. Elections and referendums also need to mobilise the masses. To call on the masses, we need the enemy. If the masses do not yet have a clear enemy, imagine or create one for them. The fear of immigration, the fear of job losses - some of which are already real - helps create an atmosphere of war“ "War" is not an exchange of fire on the battlefield. It can also be a cold war, an economic competition, a science and technology competition, or a trade war.

Populism refers to the political and economic philosophy espoused by the plebeians. This philosophy favors civilian control of politics and opposes elite or aristocratic control of politics. In many countries, elite circles have solidified, with less upward and downward mobility and less alignment of interests. According to Manser Olson, class entrenchment is the root cause of a country's decline. Because of class entrenchment, the lower classes are neglected and their interests suffer; the elite's share of the wealth expands. The elites are treated as the problem, also because the globalization of elite interests leads to the exodus of jobs from the country. They have a personal interest in free trade and free investment and therefore believe it is the right direction. Economic globalization drives investment and production to poor countries, which does benefit many poor people, but not the poor in developed countries.

As long as social development is uneven, populism will persist. Populism is meant to oppose elite control of public opinion and even the functioning of society. The future of populism lies in the free and comprehensive development of people, and in the realization of a platform for free and comprehensive development. And that is what populism is all about.

The main purpose of populism is to show dissatisfaction with the elite group. Simplify the complex political, economic and social relations into confrontation between the people and the elite. By attributing social problems such as the economic crisis, the gap between the rich and the poor, and environmental pollution to the corruption and degeneration of the elite groups, the elites are then allowed to take full responsibility for society. Populism uses propaganda to portray the elite as the enemy who exploits and enslaves the people, and calls on the people to unite spontaneously and use practical actions to regain the right to speak and power from the elite.
But in capitalist countries, the advancement of civilization brought about by technological breakthroughs in European and American countries is led by the elite, and the advancement of social civilization is also promoted by the elite. The direction of development will naturally be toward the side that is beneficial to them, but from the perspective of the results of development, it is universally beneficial to the people.
The elite class in capitalist countries will not be eliminated, and populism has no future.

I don't think it's the future. From a moral point of view, it is true that majority rule making decisions is more appropriate than minority rule or making decisions, at least it would represent the interests of the majority. However, if you think about it, you will know that this idea is easy to say, but difficult to implement. Most ordinary people lack the level of decision-making. In this sense, experts with specialized knowledge are better suited to do so. Moreover, since most civilians are not politically literate, they can easily become a force for criminals.
