         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Lewis light machine gun was the most common gun used by Americans.<br>The gun was created by Colonel Isaac Lewis, and it was very effective.<br>It was designed in america and others re-created it and mass-produced it.<br>The Lewis Gun had a big cooling muzzle and was mostly used by aircraft of that time. Lastly, this was the most effective gun and needed 4-6 men to use normally.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>German death cards were cards used to tell if a German soldier<br>died.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>A death card shows how they died, their family, and a picture of them, it also shows what they are doing in said picture.<br>German death cards are more than just ways to mark who lived and who died, but also let families and such know that their husband or child died.<br>German death cards were good and bad in their own way and bad in their own way, a card could let you know that someone died but could also let you realize they died for their country.<br>A German death card is a way to mark the dead, so they can rest peacefully without no one noticing.</div>]]></description>

         <title>WW1 Artillery</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>An artillery cannon is probably something that is the worst you can hear.<br>Artillery cannons are a devastating weapon used because it can shoot&nbsp;<br>at 45° angles to fall into a trench.<br>Artillery are the most common thing to give a surviving soldier PTSD.<br>Artillery cannons are loaded by putting gunpowder and an 18-pound bomb (the most common shell for ww1) into an artillery cannon and let gravity do the rest. They can fly at high speeds and land into a trench or near it causing destruction.</div>]]></description>

         <title>WW1 Gas Masks</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A WW1 gas mask is a device with one big filter in-front of it and covers the whole face with two lenses to see out of.<br>A gas mask had very tight straps to make sure no gas got in through the back of the mask.<br>Gas masks were used by many nations after Germany started throwing gas grenades.<br>A gas mask is used to make sure no gas gets through the mask and the wearer stays safe inside the mask.<br>Gas masks were kind of flimsy at that time so wearers could still die with it, and the trenches they stayed in did not help at all.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>World War One sub-machine guns were few, not many were made. this is the first sub-machine gun, the MP18, made for world war one. the MP18 was designed by "Theodor Bergmann Abteilung Waffenbau" and was very effective. The MP18 could fire up to 350-500 rounds per minute and was designed by the German army.<br>The MP18 was used primarily by trench assault groups and only needed 1 man to use it.</div>]]></description>
