         <description><![CDATA[<div>Name: Diseb Group<br>Background information: Secondary industry, 150 employees, private company, family business selling beef ravioli for Coles homebrand.<br>External Influences:<br>1. Economic - pandemic has decreased the sales of the company by 30% due to the recession<br>3. Geographic - consumers in the local area the Diseb group were selling their own brand of pasta to were not buying their products. This is because the warehouse was in the Western suburbs of Sydney where the socioeconomic status of the population is decreased<br>5. Legal - in order to align with WH&amp;S standards, the Diseb group had to completely knock down their facility as it was involved in a large fire which destroyed the warehouse and all of the machinery inside<br>8. Technology - after the fire, the Diseb group had to import extremely expensive new machinery from Europe. However, this machinery doubled the out put of the pasta<br>9. Competitive situation - Diseb group has entered 'perfect competition'<br>10. the company used to sell more expensive, hand made pasta when they realised that it would be more beneficial for their company to make coles homebrand. This is because people are more reluctant to buy name brand products at higher prices for an extremely similar product</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Name: Vanguard Laundry System<br>Background information: Quinary industry, 10 000 employees, partnership between one individual and the Westpac Foundation, social enterprise providing jobs to refugees and people with disabilities, sells dry cleaning services for linen and sheets to individuals and hotels<br>External Influences:<br>1. Economic - this business was regarded as essential throughout the pandemic, therefore it did not need to close and has had little negative impact as a result of the pandemic<br>2. Financial - Westpac has paid for the formation of the company and warehouse. Westpac has donated $300 000 to sustain the enterprise<br>4. Social - the business is providing first jobs to refugees, non citizens and people with disabilities<br>5. Legal and 6. Political - the business is greatly affected by legislation regarding employment of non citizens and people with disabilities<br>8. Technology - the company has small use of technology to increase the jobs it can provide<br>9. Competitive situation - Vanguard has entered a 'oligopoly'</div>]]></description>
