Don Gutoski’s fascination for photographing wildlife in its natural environment was sparked by a high school summer trip to the parks of Kenya. He later trained as a physician at home, in Canada, and has practised emergency medicine since 1981. Travelling around the world to observe the creatures who share this planet and to capture their images has become his passion.

“I love to observe animals in their own environment and record their activities. This supports the countries that are home to these creatures and, ultimately, the animals themselves.”

Don Gutoski mainly takes his photography in geographical locations, varying from extreme climates (blistering hot or freezing cold) to

normal everyday environments. He has used other crew to help in his photography before but prefers to do it solo. He uses a variety of

different lighting and high resolution cameras in order to take his shots. He uses no techniques such as Photoshop, but has an assortment of different creative angles he uses, and variable lighting techniques.

Tom Jenkins studied documentary photography under Magnum photographer David Hurn in Newport, South Wales, and UK. In 1989, after finishing the course, he freelanced for the sports specialist agency All sport, as well as The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and The Sunday Express.

Tom Jenkins only takes his photography in sport environments, as he is a sports photographer. This can range from different stadiums such as athletics or football, to outdoor locations such as fields or other pitches. He uses no other crew in order to take his shots. Lighting equipment can be hard to use in situations such as his, but in order to take fast moving shots he needs a camera with a shutter speed quick enough and with high enough resolution in order to take some of the fast moving shots. Once again, no Photoshop is used in his shots, but creative angles and composition techniques are used to make his photography unique.
