"Heredity helps to make you the person you are today: short or tall, with black hair or blond, with brown eyes or blue." (Health Promotion & Disease Prevention, page 4). Genetics can impact your health because they make up how you look. If you have a smaller figure than a larger one you're more likely to make healthier choices. It can also impact your emotional health, if you're bullied because of a genetic cause.

"Mold and dust can exacerbate and contribute to the development of chronic conditions like asthma and allergies. " (Health Promotion & Disease Prevention, page 2). You could be perfectly fine one day and the next you could have asthma if you have been living in an environment that has mold in the air. It can get into your lungs and have a negative effect on your health.

"Mutations in a gene usually end up causing that particular gene copy to not do its job the way it normally should." (Health Promotion & Disease Prevention, page 4). My friend has a cleft palate and she has gotten bullied because she looks different. It was effecting her mental health in a negative way because she was sad from all the mean comments.
