I don't think I've watched this movie completely from start to finish but I've seen a majority of it.
Tear jerker. I think this movie does a good job of showing the struggle of the family dynamic when someone in the family, a child especially, is sick. I think it was nice to get all the perspectives from the different family members. A friend who read the book told me that it was Anna who dies instead Kate. I think if they had Anna die in the movie it would have greater emphasized the issue of choice and the importance of choice in making such big decisions.

I really like this movie. I'm excited to see what new things I pick up this time.

I still really do like this movie. The emotion in it is great and very true to their situation. I also was able to really notice the ethics that play a huge role in this film. Whenever the topic of "designer babies" comes in to play it is always a very controversial subject. I felt that this movie really did do a great job of portraying that but also keeping it entertaining. They gave you information but didn't turn the entire thing into one giant court case/battle about that topic. Overall, a good movie that I will most likely watch again.

I have seen this movie but it has been a long time. I think it is a sad and very controversial subject.

This movie is very emotional but I think it does a really good job showing how devastating cancer can be to someone and their family. I really liked how although the movie showed that people accept and are at peace with dying but also the battle and family dynamics it takes for people to come together during hard times.

I've never actually seen this movie and I'm surprised I still haven't! Let's see how it goes!

I really like this movie! It was a tear jerker for sure, but when a movie can make you feel something you won't forget is when that movie did its job. This movie had a powerful look into an everyday American family affected by a disease such as cancer. It showed not only the burden cancer had on Kate, but their whole family as it drove many decisions in each family member's life. It showed how a disease can affect people in so many ways, but it also showed how strong family bonds can be, and how far they can reach.

I had not seen this movie before, but I had heard that it was a good movie and really sad. After watching it, I would say that it was an okay movie and was pretty sad. I think that the mother seemed a little crazy, but she was just trying to save her daughter. This movie did a great job showing cancer, and how it can affect a family. I think the ties to public health have to do with the rights to an individuals body, and just the general healthcare setting.
