For SCE500, we get Madam Siti Fairuz Dalim as our lecturer. My first impression about her is she is so kind and beautiful 😍

Madam starts the class by introducing herself and explain about the scheme of work for this course. I get shocked because this course has a lot of presentations. I don't really mind about it as I will take this opportunity to improve my presentation skills.

At the end of the class session, madam gives us a task group task, which is we have to present in the next class.

🔸 Confirmation is about on how we want to make the research, hypothesis and reasoning.

🔸Example:
Students always apply the confirmation bias. For example when they do the assignment, they tend to search for findings or facts to support their findings or facts.

🔸 Biased interpretation can be explained in the simplest way as different people have different idea and opinion.
For example, Covid-19 cases were arising these days. Some people think that oh we must do full lockdown but some of them think no, we cannot do full lockdown as it will bring down the country's economy.

🔸 Scientist did a good decision if they apply the falsification theory. As they did not simply clarify anything.

Comments on this group:
- They have a lot of qna session which will make the audience understand and clear about the topic.
- In this session, they had a technical issues of not having time to upload their videos to Youtube. My suggestion, they better upload their video the day before they do the presentation.

In this movie, there are many elements of science can be found. As a scientist or the one who involve with science, they really need creativity in doing the research. It is important in making plan B if plan A did not work out. Next, curiosity can give many benefits as it can lead to a new discovery. Lastly, technology is really relatable with science. Without technology, we still have to use the traditional method in our daily life 😍

🔸 Observation is something we do when conduct an experiments while explanation is the answer for the questioning when do the experiments.

🔸 There are many benefits in conducting experiment by using observation which are universal method, gain understanding of the researcher and data accuracy can check directly.

🔸 In anything, there must have a limitations. When we are doing observation, we must bare the cost as it is expensive. For instance, travelling. It also not good for the blind people as they cannot use their eyes to observe the phenomenon.

P/S: This is an honest feeling from me.

I feel really excited to conduct this presentation as we already prepared for this almost two weeks. We do a concept of bring students to the Petrosains with a guide from the captain and each of them will get an ipad to look forward to the presentation. We do expect madam will give a good comments to our group as our movie review presentation did not goes well. But unfortunately, madam seems like didn't get interest into our group. I can say that as madam only interrupt us at the end of the session. I don't know how to interpret that but I just thinking positively ✨ Like oh maybe we did perform well and can handle the presentation smoothly so that madam did not interrupt into our session. But it is okay we already do the preparation well and yes our classmates also enjoy the session. 😍 Its good to hear that as we put so much effort on the preparation of the presentation. I am so sorry on behalf of my group and myself that we may not achieve madam's expectation on the presentation 🙏

As for me, I did really love having QNA session with lecturer before starting the presentation. It is better having QNA session as me my self sometimes did not think about question that my friends ask to madam. So that I also will get a new knowledge and can keep in mind to stay in the track during the presentation session.
