Psyche's first task given by the spiteful Aphrodite was to separate many different kinds of seeds that she had just mixed all together by the afternoon, saying the only reason Eros, her son, would lover her would be if she was a hard worker, due to having no other redeeming attributes. Psyche was dumbstruck, having no idea on how she could accomplish it in time and heartbroken at the seemingly insurmountable task that, if failed, would prevent her from seeing her love ever again. But some ants saw her and took pity on her, and so they came together and worked hard to separate all the grains, so that when Aphrodite appeared, she was shocked to see that all of the grains were separated appropriately.

Psyche, after she was fled from by Eros, wandered the earth for him, while Venus furiously searched for her. Psyche decided to climb to the top of a mountain, because why not? He might live there, and came upon a shrine to Ceres. She began to dutifully tidy it up, which got Ceres attention at her respect, and she pitied the girl. At her notice, she ingratiated herself to her by preforming extreme self-deprecating acts to desperately try to win her favor. However, Ceres denied her, on the basis of her friendship to Aphrodite, and kicked her out, saying she should feel lucky for not being taken prisoner in there. Therefore, it can be concluded that she didn't help her.

Mercury certainly didn't help Psyche's case, because Venus was hunting her down and she wanted to make sure that everyone knew that she was a wanted fugitive so she couldn't get shelter- or at least, that if people did give her shelter, they couldn't claim they didn't know. So Venus had Mercury go around and tell everyone about her, isolating her from help and increasing her opponents, as the reward were to get passionately kissed by Venus. However, once she was in the god's good graces and was to marry Cupid, he was the one that delivered herto the heavens, and offered a cup of ambrosia, saying that it would make her immortal and Cupid could never renege on their bond. She did so, and she became a goddess.

Proserpina did technically help her, by giving her the box, but she was tricky about it- she wanted her to eat her food and a lavish table (and we know that traps people there). Also, when she actually opened it, it was actually filled with the sleep of the dead, and she fell down in a slumber like a corpse, from which Eros had to save by rousing her. So she kind of helped her, but with unhelpful intentions.

After Psyche collected the water from the River Styx, Venus told her she must be a witch and must do one final task- to go to the underworld and ask for Proserpina to put a little bit of her beauty in a box- a truly impossible task. So she climbed to the top of the tallest tower, ready to commit suicide for the second time. But the tower itself talked to her, told her not to give up, because she would certainly get to the underworld that way, but she would not be able to come back. So it told her a mortal route to get to the underworld, with careful instructions on exactly what she had to do, what she had to get past, the tricks she would have to not fall for- and she hastened upon the path it told her immediately.

Venus... definitely did not do anything to help Psyche. She is the main antagonist in her story, giving her all of the impossible tasks that made her life miserable and make her almost commit suicide twice. (For instance, the sorting of the grains, the collection of the golden fleece of the murderously hot sheep, the collection of the most potent and fearful water from the River Styx, and finally to ask the goddess of the underworld to give up a drop of her beauty to heal her son's burn scar. And when they got married, there was nothing she could do about it because Zeus approved it even though Cupid had been horrible to him (lists literally every single reason why he hated Cupid, but said he would most generously do it, as long as he made some equally hot chick fall in love with him.

Then, Aphrodite tasked Juno to go to the serpent guarded spring on a mountain for the River Styx (one of the rivers of the underworld) and collect a crystal bottle of it's black waters. Aphrodite knew that this was very dangerous, and something even the gods swore on. But an ancient eagle, who had once witnessed Ganymede's abduction, felt sorry for Psyche and so he took the bottle from her and swept above the river, succeeding in capturing some water, and then gave it to Psyche.
