We study literature to further our knowledge of the world and TTTC helps us understand the viewpoints of many soldiers in the Vietnam War

2. How are we affected by literary texts in various ways? How are we impacted by TTTC?

Literary texts can greatly affect our lies because any simple story can change the ways we think, act, and feel and it could corrupt the world. TTTC impacts us with the terrors and joys of war.

3. In what ways is meaning constructed, negotiated, expressed and interpreted in TTTC?

Throughout the many stores of TTTC we see many different viewpoints of different soldiers and how they feel about the war but as the story progresses most the stories end with the characters feeling the same way.

4. How does the structure of style of TTTC affect its meaning?

Instead of a diary of O'Brien we get more of many flashbacks from his and his fellow soldiers and the story progresses in a random order for example we jump from the past dung river where Kiowa dies and then jump to the present where O'Brien pays his respects this affects the meaning by showing the many different emotions that come from certain events in O'Brien's team.

3. To what extent do literary texts offer insight into another culture?

Literary texts usually offer insights to a bit of their cultures but focus on a part of their culture that has the most problems and is ruining the culture itself.

6. How does language represent social distinctions and identities? 

The language of these works usually show the evidence that the writer was well educated or unscholarly and had no education in their lives. It usually also tells the reader if the writers were poor or rich and what race they were depending on who they target or defend in their works.

Morrison's use of stream of conscience in the text adds a layer of depth to her writing because the characters are stating simple things they see and feel which are not always representative what what is actually going on within the text.

Time and Space

The way Morrison shaped her text to revolve around slavery rather than just racism and its affects, she ignored racism and bases the story only on a story about a struggling family rather than a struggling family that are hated by everyone. Morrison leaves out many horrors that were the reality for the slaves that lived on ruthless farms and that were captured by the fugitive slave law but the Garners in the story were very lenient and gave them many chances which shows the respectable side of slavery.

Chronicle reveals to us so much about how the community in some Colombian towns function with honor and the roles that both genders play one being extremely pure and the other one basing actions off of pride.

The panels I saw as most interesting is the panel where mother superior yells at Marjane and the moment when her old friends call her a whore for having many different relationships.
