I'll be out the rest of the week being busy doing dad stuff. I'll post some pics here once I get 'em. In the meantime, go ahead and catch up on some silent independent reading for today. Plan on working on some math activities tomorrow so make sure you come to class prepared.

Sker-ploosh!

I rearranged the order of the posts. Keep scrolling down for yesterday's work.

1st Period - LAM 2

Finish the Algebra Nation videos from yesterday if you haven't already. Then do "6-3 Skills Practice" from your workbooks a crack. Not sure about the page number but it looks like this. You can use the graphing calculator on Discovery Ed for help. Just make sure your graphs go through the correct points. Don't worry about domain and range.

2nd Period - MCR/Geometry

Continue working on the assignment from yesterday.
Geometry Kids - Grab a computer and work on ALEKS. From now on your grade will depend on you completing 12 topics/week in addition to spending a total of 3 hours/week working in the program.

3rd Period - Algebra 1

Continue working on the assignment from yesterday

4th Period - Algebra 1B

Work on ALEKS. Rewrite the questions and show your work. I have included an additional sheet containing several problems that I have worked out and described the steps to solving. This is a model of how I expect your work to be done.

7th Period - Algebra 1B

Keep ALEKS'ing.

1st Period - LAM 2

We're going to get into some Radical stuff when I get back so why don't you go ahead and get warmed up with some Algebra Nation Stuff. Grab your Algebra Nation workbooks and a computer and complete Section 8 - Topics 5 & 6.
If you need help logging in go here.

2nd Period - MCR

Complete this worksheet on a separate sheet of paper. You can poke around these videos if you need a little refresher on scientific notation. This one might help if you get stuck on #'s 8,11,12,15, etc.

3rd Period - Algebra I

Check this mamma jamma out. Complete the worksheet on a separate sheet of paper. Stuck? I got you, fam. Check out the videos on this website. Take your time. Watch the vids and take notes. He explains this stuff really well.

4th Period - Algebra IB

Work on ALEKS today. You've been promoted to Algebra IB. Since you have moved into a new class you will probably have to take a knowledge check.

6th Period - LAM 1

In your workbooks do "10-4 Skills Practice." I have no idea what page this is so just use the table of contents or something. It's on solving radical equations. Looks like this. Just do 1-18.

How-to Video #1
How-to Video #2
How-to Video #3

Numbers 15-18 are a little bit trickier because they have a variable on both sides. How-to video #3 does a similar example starting at 9:17. You can also solve any of these by guess and check. Ex. #15:
Guess x = 4
4 = √(4+2)
4 = √(6)
4 = 2.449 ✗

Guess x = 2
2 = √(2+2)
2 = √(4)
2 = 2 ✓

7th Period - Algebra IB

Keep working on ALEKS
