People’s personalities are suddenly based on what people think of them. Why? Why should we let other people’s opinions about us define us. What makes them think that they get to form and opinion on our personalities? Don’t let others change you. Don’t let your friends define you. Be yourself. Trust me there’s someone somewhere out there who are there for you. To support and love you

You should not worry about them and enjoy your own party as it is your day …. Worrying about whether it will go wrong or not will only ruin your day . Either you can invite them separately which will cost you money and time or you can invite them together and make sure they are separate. Though it will not really matter because if your friends have consciousness they will make sure not to ruin your special day.

Hi, I am a fellow student in LVIS. And I’ve been struggling in my relationship, and I don’t know how to deal with it. It’s hard to process a lot of things at this age and mostly even the tiniest fights end up giving me a very hard time. And maybe not the other person not saying that the other person doesn’t care, but it definitely affects me more and I don’t know how to deal with it. For me, I really want this relationship to work, but I think I’ve really pressured myself for that enough, that it’s harming me physically and mentally, I’m sorry if this is sounding like a teenager, struggling (Sarcastically) but it is what I’m feeling right now, and honestly, I just feel like I’m the worst person or I don’t deserve anything. I pretend to be this person who is really confident and who really loves to motivate people and like I’m self obsessed, but deep down I’m bound, by my insecurities. I know that the other person is not good for me and brings out the worst in me. But has the thing about attachment you don’t get to control it and right now. I could really just use someone instructing me how to deal with this.

Thanks for listening to me, actually, reading me

Hello, To whoever is reading this. I just want to tell you that you are beautiful and I know how bad you need to hear it. Being a girl, it’s hard being objectified. It’s harder. I know guys go through a lot of things, but I’m not aware of it so I’m not gonna speak about it as I don’t go through it, but being a girl is so hard. If you do not possess a certain body type your objectified for being too thin or being skinny, but if you’re a bit overweight, you’re made fun of and innocent that it’s already been portrayed like who’s gonna love you if you’re looking in a certain way , and that sucks. I won’t reveal the teacher who said this to me once she said, and I quote “ Walk a certain way because the way you walk looks like you want to be objectified by the Boys” until today I cannot get why she told that to me, regardless we born and brought up in a society like that, but we can change and we’re capable of it. So do all the girls out there who are struggling with their body issues. I just want to tell you that you are beautiful, the way you are and trust me. There’s gonna be someone who is gonna love you so much for who you are and Will not have a desire to change you.

The real move here is to find your tribe—people who vibe with you and accept you for who you are, no acting needed. You shouldn't have to force yourself to match their interests; they should find common ground with you. Being stuck pretending is exhausting. Instead, focus on surrounding yourself with people who just get you. The goal isn’t to fit in—it’s to feel comfortable enough to be your real self without having to change or adapt for others.

I’ve been there—trying so hard to fit in with a group that didn’t align with who I really was. I forced myself to engage in things I didn’t care about, and it left me feeling uncomfortable, exhausted, and constantly pretending. Eventually, I realized that it wasn’t worth it. I started initiating conversations about things I genuinely liked and found people who shared my interests. Now, I’m surrounded by people I can be real with, no acting required. The key is to keep being you—your tribe will come. Start the conversations, see if your values match, and let the right people find you.
Advice: Not getting enough parental support

Yeah, it sucks, especially when you’re trying to figure out your path. But here’s the thing—you don’t have to wait for their approval to thrive. Sometimes, they don’t get it, and that’s on them, not you. can be super frustrating when you’re trying to navigate life and they seem more like roadblocks than support. First off, know that it’s okay to feel this way. Sometimes parents just don’t understand our struggles or passions.

If you’re comfortable, try talking to them about how you feel. Be real about the support you need, whether it's for school, friendships, or just being heard. Sometimes, they might not even realize how distant they’ve become.

But if that doesn’t click, don’t stress! Find your tribe—the friends and mentors who get you and lift you up. School clubs, like Interact or sports teams, are great for meeting like-minded people. Those connections can fill the gaps that your family might not.

Also, focus on your own goals and aspirations. Use this situation as motivation to prove to yourself that you’re capable, no matter what. Remember, you’re not alone in this journey. Surround yourself with positivity and support from friends and mentors who truly see your potential. Keep shining, and don’t let the lack of parental support hold you back!

Study Pressure and socializing

I feel trapped and lost in a life that doesn't feel like my own. I'm forced to study subjects that I have no interest in, which has made it difficult for me to keep up. The pressure to perform well is suffocating, leaving me anxious and stressed, everyday I have to hear 'you’re not trying' 'you’re a failure' either from my family or my own mind telling me. I find it difficult to connect with my classmates, and social interactions feel like a burden to me. My true passion is constantly pushed aside by my family, saying it's 'not a real job' 'not that important'.

With each passing day, my self-esteem has really gone down, and my confidence level is zero. I yearn to break free from this prison of expectations and find my own path. I want to be able to speak my mind without fear of judgment, to pursue my passions without guilt. But for now, I'm stuck, desperate to find a way out of this darkness and into a life where I can be my true self.

Advice: Platonic Male Friendships

After being questioned on what relationship I share with my male best friend (brotherhood to be honest-), and giving an answer that never quenches the thirst of school gossip mongers, I finally decided to listen to what my best friend always says "Who cares what they think man!", to which I often reply that I do, and the society is always up for stamping my character certificate, aren't they? The thing is, society isn't a part of the beautiful bond you share with your best friend, they somehow have a one-track mind, that is still stuck in the late 1980s "Ek ladka aur ek Ladki kabhi dost nhi hosakte" why not? Like does gender change friendship? No...Rather, it just finds you more, 4.10 billion people you can be friends with... A beautiful bitter-sweet friendship...In the end, the judgment doesn't matter till the time you and your friend are clear in what you guys feel for each other, if one of you isn't, then I would recommend trying to talk it out rather than losing a magnificent friendship to lack of communication, which would later result in more gossips, and finally into a forever loss of friendship.

So, don't think about people, think about your friendship, just live with what you think, that's all that matters, enjoy your time with eachother without caring what others say, 'cause at the end of it "Kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna" :)

You don’t have to fit in. You might not realise it now, but being yourself, being unique is the best thing you can be. Do what YOU like, care about yourself and respect yourself first, and others will automatically care for you. As for the fact that your friends go to parties, so you have to- just talk to them, and if they’re really your friends, going to parties shouldn’t be a criteria for a lasting friendship. Trust them, they’ll be there for you anyhow, they’ll understand- just communicate your feelings with them.

Why the person speaking the TRUTH is considered a “SNITCH”?

Often students in our school are afraid to speak up in front of the teachers . They are afraid to tell the complete story ( truth ) . Other Students considered that one student as a snitch who dares to open up. Also they create a bad image about that one student and as a result no one talks to that person and everyone has this same image in their mind’s that , He/ she is a snitch if he / she speaks the truth in front of the teachers . This happened to me last year when I was in 11th that i told my teacher that one student was vaping in the class and as a result i was threatened by that student who was vaping and even teachers tried to resolve the matter by saying that you should say sorry and wrap up all this . Even the counsellor asked me to say sorry to that student despite the fact I was not the one at fault .

Due to all this drama that one student’s social circle is also affected and nobody even in his/ her own class is not ready to talk to him .

Advice- Why the person speaking the TRUTH is considered a "SNITCH"?

Before you start reading this, I'd like you to be read this with an open mind. First, understand the fact that there's no villain in the situation, we make mistakes as people, but there's no villain in the story here. Obviously, no one likes getting punished or their "secret" being revealed to the public and when it does happen, we think with emotions and not rationality, its hard to accept the fact that we were in the wrong and morally the other person just did the right thing. Sometimes, when we think with our emotions, we end up making bad decisions and hurting people, just like the group of people you mentioned hurt you. Having said that, it doesn't make them or you a bad person, they just happened to make some mistakes. Before anything, you have to understand that and perhaps if you find it in you, forgive them. Secondly, what I personally believe is, somewhere along the way, the system we live in is also at fault, yes obviously, rules are made for a reason and have to be followed and while i do agree that some consequences are necessary if rules are broken, help should be more important than that. For eg: Take the situation you just mentioned, lets assume this kid did actually get caught with a vape, yes he would have been suspended (and gotten scolded) and rightfully so but do you think apart from that anyone would try and help that kid? Try and help him get out of the mess he made and get over the addiction? More often than not, we as students and the system itself forgets that at the end of the day, we are dealing with children who are bound to make errors. They need help, more than punitive measures. There's this mindset that if you go to a teacher, you're bound to get punished, perhaps that's why the person speaking the TRUTH is considered to be a "SNITCH" and is made to be an outcast. What we truly need is this mindset to change, which would require efforts from everyone, students, teachers, staff alike but that's a long story. As far as you are concerned, there's no doubt what you're feeling is just, no one likes to be treated as an outcast, its the worst feeling in the world (especially when you did what you were supposed to do, what the "right" thing to do was) but then again, this isn't just confined to a school, its everywhere and in reality, there's only so much you can do to change the people around you, so what I'm wanting to say is, if you can't change everyone around you, surround yourself with people that make your life in the bubble you created for yourself full of joy and fun! At the end of the day, you can't change what people think of you or how they treat you and yes it hurts (trust me i know) but you have to move on, there's no other option. The reason i asked you to read this with an open mind and the reason i gave you the other perspective first is because if you keep carrying the anger you have, its going to weigh heavy on you, so if you can, forgive them, not for them but for you, it'll feel way lighter. Other than that, like i said, be happy with the people who accept you for you, they are the ones who truly matter. (I hope i could help you a little with this and remember, its okay to feel sad about it, its very human actually)

Last year I got into this relationship which led me to alienate myself from all of my friends because of my partner’s insecurity (I don’t blame them, they didn’t have the best experience, but they should have taken responsibility for personal growth)

I blocked this one friend I was pretty close to w/o saying anything because it was someone that really triggered them & I never explained myself. Stopped talking to a lot of friends and started ignoring them because at that point I thought it was out of respect for my partner and it was the right thing to do (they told me they weren’t comfortable with me having those friends). And my partner talked to me about not liking these people as well. However, now that the relationship ended, they have gone and become really close friends with all of them, and i’m afraid that they may be telling these people lies about me, or at least not telling them the whole story because if they did I doubt they would be friends with the people they’re friends with. I disrespected myself by allowing someone else’s insecurities to cross my boundaries, but in the process I also disrespected those who were close to me and those I really valued, and the guilt of it has been weighing pretty heavy on my heart. I don’t expect to reconcile with these friends, but I would like to apologise and explain myself because I think they deserve the closure and explanation & to know it had nothing to do with my feelings for them. But i’m too scared to confront my friends about this because I don’t want it to come off as me badmouthing this person or trying to “spread rumours” or anything of that sort, I genuinely just feel that I did them wrong and that they deserve the truth and an apology. Maybe i’m making it bigger than it is but it’s been bothering me a lot, I would appreciate any advice anyone might have. And if you’ve read all of this, I really appreciate that, I hope you have an amazing day ahead, thank you so much ♥️.
