<title>It´s one year now since I wrote a piece on taxing robots and automation. Funnily enough I used self-driving cars to flesh out the story. Do have a look.</title>

<title>In regards to the question on liability, well I guess this will be key part of the new business models around it. Since I don´t think owning a car will be streamline, it´ll probably be the case of consuming a &quot;mobility service&quot; rather than &quot;driving your car&quot;. Hence, there will be a range of insurance and liability options for you to choose from... if you can afford them!</title>

<title>In terms of the safety features questions, these will have to be defined, designed, developed and embedded in the cars themselves, so providing end-to-end security might involve a number of parties, including car manufactures, regulators, policy makers and service providers. What`s more, the idea of &quot;connected cars&quot; and how they interact with the &quot;smart cities&quot; will make security features go beyond the car itself, including communications, radio beamers, intelligent traffic lights and so on</title>
