What are your objectives for this course?

My objectives during these months in this subject are the following:
First, improve my language and expand my vocabulary.
Secondly, I want to know resources in case at some point I have to teach this language, to have tools so that children can learn it correctly.

Where were you born? Where do you live? What languages do you speak? What is your background? Do you have any official language certificates?

I was born in Catalonia, I have always lived in Barcelona since I was born, I am 25 years old and always lived in the Eixample neighborhood in the center of Barcelona. The languages that I dominate are Catalan and Spanish as mother tongues. My experience with English has only been in school and institute, apart from the previous course that we did English at the university. I do not have any official certificate that accredits me that I have a level of English.

What are you looking forward to in this course? What are you worried about?

Learn tools and resources to teach students English correctly in the classroom. Learn much more vocabulary and different ways to transmit this language to a classroom where there are different levels of English. I am worried about not to pass the subject on this course.

What are your hobbies, interests and passions?

My biggest hobby is playing soccer, then I love being a coach for young children. I also really like going to the theatre and travelling around Europe with my girlfriend. Besides, another of my passions are listen to music and follow the Futbol Club Barcelona around the world.

What kind of teacher do you want to be? Consider the qualities and attributes you would like to have and the experience you want your students to have. How do you think this course will help you to become the teacher that you want to be?

For me, the most important qualities of a teacher are empathy, the desire to learn and teach and the flexibility of the teacher too. Being organized and having everything planned helps you have a clearer idea of what you can teach. To improve my day-to-day life, after each class I make observations and improvements on how the class has gone or how I would improve doing the class after having done it. This course will help me to be a better teacher because I will be motivated and wanting to learn continuously, since in my opinion the teacher has to be continuously training.

Who was your favourite teacher when I was in school?

My favourite teacher when I was on the school is Pascual, my P.E. teacher throughout from six years to twelve.
He was a very dedicated person, he transmitted joy and constantly talked to the students to see how they were doing. He was an example of self-improvement, since he came from Zaragoza to Barcelona just to work here, learned Catalan and made a living in Barcelona. When he taught his classes he transmitted with his words an energy that reached the students. Pascual was the teacher who most marked me to this day in the classroom.
