         <description><![CDATA[<div>A few ideas to wrap-up what I learnt &amp; my SRL practices:<br><strong>Develop Self-esteem</strong>: praise and use positive reinforcement, help Ss see value in their efforts and work.<br><strong>Brain Breaks</strong> - students do something fun and relaxing (physical activity or dance)<br><strong>Check-in negative feelings </strong>- denying negative emotions or ignoring them does not help students deal with them. Admit and recognize emotions.<br><strong>Teach &amp; Model:</strong> Spend time teaching &amp; practicing various ways to calm down (e.g. a deep breath before responding angrily to a disappointment).<br><strong>Coping Skills:</strong> Show Ss strategies in which they can cope with their negative emotions: counting to ten, coloring, breathing, refocusing thoughts and behaviors, finding a constructive independent activity. Help them see their strengths and build on them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The most important thing learnt in Module 3 is to make students aware that making mistakes are part not only of the learning proces, but of life in general and make them prepared for failures as well as for success. It is not always the greatest problem to get low motivated students involved in learning process by applying proper  strategies, sometimes the teacher can be faced with high motivated students who expect successful accomplishment of their tasks and very hardly cope with the possibility of failure. SRL strategy is excellent way to make those students aware that making mistakes is not big deal and that they can aleays learn something from them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have learnt many things.As I told in the beginning of this course, this was a challenge. Despite noticing that&nbsp; SRL practices are essential in a classroom, it was important to learn some tips for dealing with these strategies.&nbsp; I loved to know that some colleagues already use learning diaries and to think about the perspective of using it next year. Till now I used Portfolio once. I’m going to think which digital tool I will use.The only problem is the number of classes I have. Perhaps I’ll try with only some of them. Regarding my own practices I think I have many things to learn and many aspects to change. Time is an obstacle among other things.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I always learn a lot in MOOCs! On the one hand, they are always updated, interesting and with practical content for us, classroom teachers. This MOOC is no exception! On the other hand, the altruistic sharing of ideas and materials add even more value to these teacher development courses I can do from home, at my own pace.<br>As for M3 in particular, I'm determined to have another go with Learning Diaries. Next year, I'll probably ask students to create a digital wall (padlet or a similar tool) as a way to highlight their learnings, progress and activities.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>M3 was a module that most caught my attention, especially because it introduced me to strategies to deal with some of the challenges that are encountered in Portuguese schools.</div><div>In Padlet Tackling obstacles, I had mentioned the extension of the curriculum content and the lack of motivation of some students as the biggest challenge that I find, and soon after I am given some strategies to overcome the students' lack of motivation, because as for the curricula, it is something that as a teacher I can't do anything.</div><div>The strategies Give sufficient time and Self-regulatory competencies were the ones that attracted me most, as the other Create a safe place and Timely feedback I already use.</div><div>This MOOC has been very gratifying, as it is undoubtedly an asset for me as a teacher and consequently for my students.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In module 3, I find useful motivation for my own teaching as I realized that I've already given my students a safe place, I have always shown them different ways of memorising vocabulary, etc. I do these randomly, not consciously. To teach SRL I should do whatever I did randomly in a conscious, well planned and systematic way. </div>]]></description>
