MY presentation topic will be my favourite car from the Range Rover model. This model is over RM600K pricing for the Malaysian market. Range Rover comes from the brand ‘Land Rover’. It looks tough, sporty and really sleek from the outside. This car was officially launched in the United Kingdom in 2017 and was a 5 door SUV. This beauty runs in both Diesel and electric too.

I’m a die hard fan of cars, talk to me about cars, and I can listen to you all day. I’ve been in love with Range Rover Evoque before, Chevrolet camarro, Volvo XC90 AND XC60 and many more. Not only that, I collect diecast miniature cars too as a hobby.
But why Velar? Well, you can’t say No after looking at it! The technology, the exterior, the door handles, the futuristic interior, everything about it is just ‘WOW’ to me! Drive it, and you can feel the sense of luxury to it. Therefore, for my OP DUE10012, I am going to present about RANGE ROVER VELAR’s Brand, Specification, Pricing, and Off-Road Features.
Group members' name: 1-

                                          2-

The topic that we are present about The vanished person was James Harrison Wilson Thompson, founder of The Thai Silk Company who was dubbed “The Silk King” by established US news magazine Time, in 1958. He went missing while on an afternoon stroll in Cameron Highlands, following a Easter Sunday service at All Souls’ Church.

His disappearance led to a massive search in the small Pahang town due to his influential status. It was carried out for 11 days, involving over 400 individuals comprising the Malaysian army and police, British troops, tracker dogs, local Orang Asli communities, and more.

The last known sighting of Thompson came from a cook at a nearby bungalow. According to another report from Time magazine, the said cook claimed to have seen him “standing on a plateau for about 30 minutes, [before he] suddenly disappeared.”

Several theories surfaced following his disappearance. It has been claimed that he suffered a tragic fall while on his stroll through the town’s hilly landscape, as reported by BBC News in the UK. There were also rumours that he was kidnapped, murdered, or killed by local tigers known to roam in the local jungle.

However, over 50 years since his disappearance and there have not been any concrete evidence to prove what truly happened to Thompson

Biography

Mystery

theories

Nurul Syazwani Binti Mohd Sabri

(10DPM23F1061)

Nurul Izzatie Akma Binti Tahir

(10DPM23F1071)

BLIND PEOPLE

The topic we choose is challenges blind people face when living life.

Having to deal with sight loss or low vision is merely one of the challenges that the visually impaired are facing when living life. Blind individuals are just like anyone else but they just can’t see. Is this case as simple in real life as in our minds? As one of Envision’s founders said in his TEDxGouda talk, we have built a world around us that serves the majority. That means that any individual different than the average, such as the visually impaired, faces difficulties because they’re not what is considered to be average.

Finding and keeping a job: Work is a whole different matter if you’re visually impaired. Considering the lack of accessible work and working spaces, one can already imagine why hiring a visually impaired individual would be considered a liability for a company. This has a negative impact on the confidence and emotional well-being of the visually impaired, while it totally cripples their economic independence. Having little to no opportunity to support oneself, blind or low vision individuals are incapacitated from their independence.

Most blind people have some degree of light perception. How much light they can see, and where it is visible in their field of vision, varies from person to person. A person with light perception may be able to: tell whether a room is light or dark. identify where light is coming from.

Often living in isolation: Considering all of the above, it’s not a surprise that living with a visual impairment might signify, often, living in isolation. Dealing with sight loss, already, is a challenge in itself. The lack of emotional support at diagnosis centers, the limited accessibility to activities and information, the societal stigma and the lack of unemployment, are all factors frequently leading blind or low vision individuals in isolation. This last point illustrates how the problem for the visually impaired is not their blindness or lower vision in itself but their segregation from anyone else.

People who are blind and have low vision use adaptive techniques and skills to accommodate vision loss. These "skills of blindness" include everything from using Braille and specialized computer software to traveling with a white cane to cooking, cleaning, and sewing techniques.

Blind people have special facilities for example is public toilet, walkway , traffic light sound and braille books.

The brains of those who are born blind make new connections in the absence of visual information, resulting in enhanced, compensatory abilities such as a heightened sense of hearing, smell and touch, as well as cognitive functions (such as memory and language) according to a new study.

Thesis:

Sense

Perception

Abilities

Challenges

Special facilities

Group member:

NURUL AIN BINTI ROSLI

(10DPM23F1050)

NUR ALIA SAFIYAH BINTI AZMI

(10DPM23F1052)

The topic that we will present about the keledonia house “99 door mansion”

Located in the middle of an oil palm plantation, the Caledonia House was the site of an unsolved murder in the 1940s. Also known as the “99-door mansion”, the Caledonia House is the perfect setting for any horror story.

Tucked away deep within an oil palm plantation and built during colonial times, the mansion was home to the Ramsden family, wealthy Europeans who owned plantations in the area.

Things took a dark turn in 1948 when the mansion became the scene of an assassination: John St Maur Ramsden was shot in the back of the head by an unknown killer.

For decades now the mansion has sat abandoned, with many locals spinning tales about the premises being used for nefarious purposes.

One popular story revolves around how a local bomoh used it for dark rituals, and superstitious visitors claim to see and hear strange things in the ruins. Danwon high school has created a special class area to commemorate the tragedy and the victims. The victim's parents want to make the class a memorial area.
The Secret World of Arrietty

My presentation topic that i choose is Arrietty a tiny teenager, lives with her parents in the recesses of a suburban home, unbeknown to the homeowner and housekeeper. Like others of her kind, Arrietty remains hidden from her human hosts, but occasionally ventures forth from beneath the floorboards to borrow sugar cubes and other supplies. A secret friendship forms when 12-year-old Shawn meets Arrietty, but their relationship could spell danger for Arrietty's family.A boy named Shō remembers the week in summer he spent at his mother's home with his maternal great aunt, Sadako, and the housemaid, Haru. When Shō arrives, he gets a glimpse of Arrietty, a Borrower girl, returning to her home through an underground air vent.

At night, Arrietty's father, Pod, takes her on her first "borrowing" mission, to get sugar and tissue paper. After obtaining a sugar cube from the kitchen, they travel to a bedroom which they enter through a dollhouse. It is Shō's bedroom; he sees Arrietty when she tries to take a tissue from his table. Startled, she drops the sugar cube. Shō tries to comfort her but Pod and Arrietty leave.

The next day, Shō puts the sugar cube and a little note beside the air vent. Pod warns her not to take it because their existence must be kept secret from humans. Nevertheless, she sneaks out to visit Shō in his bedroom. Without showing herself, she tells him to leave her family alone but they soon have a conversation, which is interrupted by the crow. The crow attacks Arrietty but Shō saves her. On her return home, Arrietty is intercepted by her father. Realizing they have been detected, Pod and his wife Homily decide they must move out. Shō learns from Sadako that some of his ancestors had noticed the presence of Borrowers in the house and had the dollhouse built for them. The Borrowers had not been seen since.

Pod returns injured from a borrowing mission and is helped home by Spiller, a survivalist boy he met. Shō removes the floorboard concealing the Borrower household and replaces their kitchen with the kitchen from the dollhouse to show he hopes them to stay. However, the Borrowers are frightened by this and speed up their moving process. Pod recovers and Arrietty bids farewell to Shō. Shō apologises that he has forced them to move out and reveals he has had a heart condition since birth and will have an operation in a few days. The operation does not have a good chance of success. He is accepting, saying that every living thing dies.

Haru notices the floorboards have been disturbed. She unearths the Borrowers' house and captures Homily. Alerted by her mother's screams, Arrietty goes to investigate. Saddened by her departure, Shō returns to his room. Haru locks him in and calls a pest control company to capture the other Borrowers alive. Arrietty comes to Shō for help; they rescue Homily and he destroys all traces of the Borrowers’ presence.

On their way out during the night, the Borrowers are spotted by the cat Niya. Thereupon Niya leads Shō to the "river", a small rivulet, where the Borrowers are waiting for Spiller to take them further. Shō gives Arrietty a sugar cube and tells her that she will always be a part of him and that her courage and the Borrowers' fight for survival have made him want to live through the operation. In return, Arrietty gives him her hairclip, a small clothespin, as a token of remembrance. The Borrowers leave in a floating teapot with Spiller in search of a new home.

The Disney international dubbed version contains a final monologue, where Shō states that he never saw Arrietty again. He returned to the house a year later, indicating that the operation had been successful. Happily he overhears rumors of objects disappearing in neighboring homes.

my thesis statement is

-character

-plot

-country

-reviews

1)Nur Iman Qistina Binti Mohd Nizam

10dpm23f1089

The topic that we chose is History Of The Colosseum because it's very interesting to talk about. The roman colosseum has a long and rich history. from the times when it was used as a gladiatorial arena and witnessed staged hunts with thousands of wild beasts to today, it has seen the roman empire rise to its greatest splendor and dwindle and disappear. it is said that up to 400,000 people met their end on the sands of the arena, as did one million wild animals of many different speciesthe history.

What is special about the Colosseum in Italy?

Measuring 189 metres long, 156 metres wide and 50 metres in height, the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world. 3. The Colosseum could seat around 50,000 spectators for a variety of events. These included gladiator contests, animal hunts and re-enactments of famous battles

The thesis from our topic is :

The Tourist

The Mysteries

The Fact

The History

The tourist

How many tourists visit the Colosseum each day?

Approximately 16,000 people visit the Colosseum every day and even with the internet at their fingertips most show up without tickets. Lines for admission are long, days hot, and it gets crowded. On the upside, you're reading this article which means you are planning ahead.

Why do tourists visit the Colosseum?

Every year over 6 million people visit it. The Colosseum is the main symbol of Rome. It's an imposing construction that, with almost 2,000 years of history, will bring you back in time to discover the way of life in the Roman Empire.

The mysteries

What are some dark facts about the Colosseum?

As is to be expected, there were a lot of deaths at the Colosseum. It was used for entertainment (mostly fights, of course) for just shy of 400 years and in this time, it is estimated that 400,000 people died within the walls of this particular amphitheater.

What is inside the Colosseum?

Some must-see highlights inside the Colosseum are the Emperor's Box, the Gladiator's Gate, Arena, the Hypogeums and the three tiers that served different purposesrposes.

What are the secrets of the Colosseum?

It was riddled with secret passageways and trap doors.Today, the network of tunnels and passageways called the hypogeum is exposed to the air. but originally lay hidden beneath the arena floor. This housed animals, slaves, and gladiators, ready to spring up into the arena through many hidden trap doors.

Fact about the Colosseum

Colosseum has many interesting facts.
THE STORY OF MONA FANDEY

Nur Maznah binti Ismail was born in 1 January 1965, better known as Mona Fandey, was a Malaysian pop singer and murderer. She was executed on 2 November 2001 at the age of 45, after being convicted of the murder of Batu Talam state assemblyman, Mazlan Idris in 1993.

His disappearance, initially thought by family and colleagues as being "incommunicado", hogged media headlines for weeks. The New Straits Times, especially, carried extensive reports on the incident from the day his body (in 18 parts) was discovered until the day his murderers were sentenced to death by hanging on Nov 2, 2001, at Kajang Prison.

Instead of the ritual, Mazlan was murdered. His body was dismembered into 18 parts and buried in an uncompleted house on a property owned by Mazlan in Kampung Lata Jarum, Hulu Dong, in Raub, Pahang. Some reports said Mazlan's body had been "partially skinned".

Police also found an altar and statues of deities, as well as knives and an axe at the scene.

Police investigations showed that about RM315,000 had been withdrawn from Mazlan's account in Kuantan and Kuala Lumpur, and it was believed to have been taken by one of the suspects who had bought and paid cash for a Mercedes-Benz 280s.

One of the most chilling confessions made by Juraimi in court was, "I chopped his neck three times to separate the head from the body. I also cut Mazlan's body into pieces before burying his remains".

the thesis of our topic

•punishment

•background

•crime

•black magic

•mysteris

Group members

Nur Amni Iman Binti A Razak (10dpm23f1093)Nurul Izzati Najwa Binti Mohd Nazri (10DPM23F1079)
