         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Constitution gives the president the authority to nominate a supreme court justice<br>-The senate needs to confirm the president's nomination in order for them to become a supreme court justice <br>-Judges under article III "during good behavior" meaning unless impeached the judges hold their positions until retirement or death.<br>-Presidents normally uphold a selecting criteria when selecting a nominee<br>-The nomination criteria goes as following: judicial competence; political ideology; representativeness of the population; and political consideration.</div>]]></description>
