Tabuta was a foreigner who admitted to being a witch and all knew. At the time for puritan teens there was nothing else to do other than to read the bible so she was easily able to influence them. When teens began to act in witchcraft they claimed to have been a victim. During the trials when Betty Parris began to start acting crazy and others as well they pointed to the town beggar Tabuta. During the whole witch hysteria she was known to be the one influencing and turning individuals to her satanic ways of witchcraft.

During the Salem Witch trials across all towns and villages many who were accused of witch craft were hung to their death. By denying to be a witch led to automatic death and those who did confess to being a witch or wizard may have had their life spared and just held in jail. By the end of 1692 over 200 people were housed in jail and were being accused of witchcraft. 19 men and women were hung due to accusations all in one town which is drastic. One man was even pressed with stones; however during these trials hanging was the most popular form of death

While the Salem Witch trials were happening, most of the accused and jailed were innocent falsely accused individuals. The Puritans believed that all bad was from Satan leading them to think all bad people were witches. Absurd accusations were made such as ones neighbor was a witch if the other didn't like them and or wanted their land. For example one man made an accusation that his neighbor was a witch because his cow was sick. They accused individuals until they were forced to confess even if they were innocent.

Even though she had a fever she could not be diagnosed with a sickness so they determined her illness to be spiritual. She continued to act crazy even in court, falling onto the floor, yelling, biting. Other girls also began to act the same way leading all to beloved these girls were victims of being possessed by witch craft and the devil.

This group of girls that began to display i suede behavior after Betty Paris was the start of the witch trial hysteria. To this day no one knows weather or not they were acting for attention or not, but many things are still unexplainable. Such as how in court the girls would mimick people and freeze all at once and make noises, but one time they all complained of pain and scratching in which you could see scary marks jus appear across their body. Another unexplained experience was when girls in other villages began acting the same way with no knowledge of what occurred in Salem. The girls behavior was not normal and led to all of them being accused of witchcraft. The group of girls tried to say they were victims of the town beggar who was apparently a witch, but they were still locked up.
