I would include learner profiles. I think it would be interesting to see what ways my students learn, but also learn about multiple learning styles and learning skills. Implementing curriculum such as second step to focus on caring and self-reflection and also setting up a classroom environment that allows for failure and encourages risk. "I can't do it YET".

I love the approaches to learning component of the IB. Basically this is a list of process skills that should be explicitly taught and tied into curriculum units. For example, creativity, critical thinking, communication, etc. This would be a great component to implement in your classroom.

Teachers could require that students fill out weekly reflections on their learning throughout the week, so that they are able to consider how well they are learning the information and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. Doing reflections during my practicum placements encouraged me to actually think about what I learned from my mentor teacher and students each week.

Asking students how they learned something not only seems like an aspect of IB but also the identity aspect of the PCM. So I could ask my students how they know to conjugate in 3rd person and basically they would be teaching ME how to do it as opposed to me teaching them how it is done even though I facilitated the pattern for them.
