This subject is close my heart due to having bipolar time one with psychosis. I will be potryaing how it feels to be in a "manic" "depressed" "pyschotic" episods. I want to end the stigma around mental health and show people how it feels to be bipolar. I will be producing a film which will include suicide, self harm and manic, depressive and psychotic episodes. I will be the main subject within the film and i feel people need to be more educated when it comes to mental health. The amount of times i have had to correct people on what bipolar is is exhausting. They think it is mood swings such as hyper to sad within a day. This is not the case. This is personality disorder. I feel also that people judge people with mental illness. However, everyone judges wether you have a mental illness or not. I will be producing a short film which will have no speaking involved but poems that i have wrote that will be within the film. I also feel very strongly about people romancing mental illness and self harm. my idea is to create a short film. I will have two main subject and other people around. I will make the actors/actress wear a carboard boxes over their head and written on it, it will have something that they feel. such as "trapped" "hurt" "lonely" "depressed" or they will have a sentance that had been said to them and hurt them. I will be using different age groups between 16-50. I will also be using male and females within my film.
I will be using two main characters. one female and one male. they will be ballet dancers and they too will be wearing the boxes over their head. The main girl will have writen on her box "bipolar" to represent that she suffers with this illness. The main man will have a box over his head and it will have written on it "manic-depressive episodes". I will want the location of the film to be on the beach. I will want to capture the waves crashing on the beach which wil present argression and anger and how bipolar can feel like you are drowing. I will want the shot to be on the pier and the main girl walking up to the end of the pier where the main guy is standing. While the girl is walking up to the pier she passes the group of people as they walk past (still with the boxes over their head). The girl will be looking around and as she walks up to the man she stops a few feet away from him. I will then include still images which will include self harm and self inflicted pain. This is to represent flash backs from her depressive state. She will swing her head back and forth and i will do editing of making it fast and slow. This will also represent her flash backs and her tortour she had endoured while in that state. After, she will walk up to the man and they will take their boxes off and look around. They will then do a ballet dance. i want the dance to be loving and hateful at the same time. I will include self harm still images and suicide images while they dance. As the dance gets further in the images will go faster and faster. 
While the short film is being shown and done i will be narating it with a poem im going to write which will be very triggering. It will include self harm/suicide/drugs etc. ----------
