The Winners

This was our first time in the PYPX/G.P Project, At the start our Coordinator Mrs.- Ashalatha introduced us To PYPX we thought it was a small normal project but when she told us it was a 4-month project we were shocked how can a project be for 4 months. In our first PYPX class, we were divided into groups. In group 2 we had:-

We implemented The SDG goals in our Project our main goals 

We implemented our Inquiry cycle in PYPX

Tuning In: We identified and learned about a specific topic. Here in this phase, we brainstormed, prior knowledge, and we generated initial questions. 

Finding Out: We gathered information from various sources to answer different questions on our topic—this involved reading, researching, interviewing, and observing.

Inthisswonderful learning experiencess off our PYP .Pprojectc,t we also encountered many guest lectures; I would like to give credit to all the people who helped us in this process people are

1. Mrs. Aarti Nevatia

   Mrs. Aarti taught us how entrepreneurs can be of any age and any type. Mom's kitchen was the major topic Mrs.Aarti taught us this was about my grandmother who at the age of 85 started her own catering company this again shows us that there is no limit to an entrepreneur.

2. Ms. Karen Christy

   Mam taught us about peace justice and equity, here she showed us some pictures and she also asked us what we could relate to these pictures.

3. Mr. Anand

   Mr. Anand is an authorized investor he taught us about good investments and also about budgeting

We were split into 5 groups with both 5th and 6th graders. Our first task was to identify our Lines of Inquiry (LOI). After discussion, we chose the central idea of "People" and focused on the following key topics:

· Gender Equality

· Basic Needs

· Quality Education

· Good Health and Well-Being

So far, we’ve created multiple charts exploring these topics. Recently, we’ve been working on identifying problems in our surroundings related to these themes at local, national, and global levels.

The PYPX/G.P Project was an exciting new journey undertaken by us. When our Coordinator, Mrs. Ashalatha, first introduced the PYPX, we thought that it was some short project. When she said it would last for four months, we were shocked. A project for four months?

First, in the first session of PYPX itself, we were divided into groups, and in Group 5, I was working with Aprameya, Pravasthi, and Vihaan under the mentorship of Ms. Bidisha and Ms. Nitika.

The SDGs formed the bases on which our project was based and directed our focus and objectives.

We rigorously applied the Inquiry Cycle throughout our PYPX journey:

Tuning In: We started out by identifying and then exploring a few specific topics. This was a brainstorming stage where we used prior knowledge and phrased initial questions through our lines of inquiry.

Finding Out: Our quest for answers took us to various information sources. We leveraged platforms like Google and Copilot to aid our research and deepen our understanding of the topics at hand.

Plus- Excellent teamwork by educators in terms of collaborative planning and learners taking responsibility as leaders in their own groups

Minus- Learners are not so happy about only 2 periods per week on their schedule to accomodate this inquiry

Forward- Participation in other schools journey in upcoming months, virtual interschool collaborations

The Globe represents togetherness. She thought us all about peace, partnership, and prosperity

On the 24 of April our PYPX coordinator introduced us to a thing called PYPX which means

( Primary Years Programme Exhibition) which teaches us how the world works and how to look into problems In the world by researching on different issues found in the different rural places/ in developing countries ranging from local , national and global issues .

Thanks to PYPX, our perspective on different places and their issues has helped us understand many things like gratitude ,  acknowledgement and has made us learn more about the world. To make things simpler we made charts, diagrams and presentations talking about these problems .

Similarly on the 1 of February we had our SLC ( student led conference ) where we did a activity called “ human library “  where we went and had an interaction with other people asking their problems with their childhood.

Thanks to our mentors we have learned a lot about the world and it issues and how/ who can fix these problems.

Our group focuses on finding places which do not have proper health care and are struggling with basic needs like clothing , shelter , food , and education. We research on these places because if nobody spreads a word about all the problems the people are facing, then they will never be noticed.

  The main topic is accessibility to health care but our other team members look into

v  GENDER EQUALITY

v  BASIC NEEDS

v  QUALITY EDUCATION

And our mentor is Akansha ma’am.

So far we are doing a good job in our PYPX and we hope all other teams do good as well
