Learners have different cultural and family backgrounds. Some parents have high expectations of academic achievement while some parents don't want to be involved in their kids' learning.

Teacher voice - collaborative decision making

 

I am assuming the teachers who worked through this process not only flexed their collaboration skills but came out of the process with a deeper understanding of connections between the disciplines.

 

I want to make my action steps more specific. This blog post showcased how important it is to plan and document goal setting with clarity (mission, action for each week, etc.). SMART!

 

Students are the CREATORS - this allows teachers to foster voice, choice, and ownership.

 

Students DRIVE the learning. 

 

When a lesson goes in a new direction the teacher acts as a MASTERFUL GUIDE during the inquiry process.
