The currency here in Malaysia is the Malaysian ringgit. It was a good thing that we can trade U.S. dollars into Malaysian ringgits. Every $0.22 is a dollar in U.S. which I find pretty cool to find out.

Malaysians wore clothing similar to Europe and North America. Here in Malaysia, women, commonly wear a baju kurung, a knee length loose blouse. Malaysian men wear the baju melayu, a loose tunic over trousers, with a songkok on the head. Sometimes, the men will wear batik shirts with trousers. Since, I am here for a while, I will wear what Malaysian women wear. I choose to wear a dark blue baju kurung with a white shawl. I must say that buying these clothes are kind of expense. For one blouse is starting about $35(in Malaysian money) and up! They are actually quite comfortable to wear, and I feel free.

My first stop was to Petronas Towers. It's the "landmark of Kuala Lumpur". Which I find very interesting that it has 88 floor. I learned some history about these twin towers. The first groundbreaking was in January 1992. The construction started in March 1993. The finished building was finally completed on March 1, in 1996. It was first inaugurated on August 1, in the year of 1996. The entire cost of building these towers were about
$1.6 billion US.

I found it that they mostly speak Malay, or also known as Bahasa Malaysia their main language. Along the side of the roads there were little shops. Some shops had traditional foods while some sold clothing for living. Of course, I had to buy some of the clothing that they sold.

The chicken is tender, taste VERY good, and has a faint smell of heaven. The rice is soft and easy enough to go with the chicken and the sauce poured over it. This was easily ordered on most menu here in Malaysia. Because it doesn't take too much time to cook and serve, and by the looks the people it was one the best dishes.

Being here in Malaysia the climate is pretty hot and humid. Through it is humid I don't like what's it doing to my hair making it all frizzy. The heat is bearable even with all the clothing that women wear 24/7. I challenged myself to actually wear what Malaysian women have to wear each day. By the midday it was hot enough that I just wanted to swim, and stay out of the sun's ray.

I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel, in Kuala Lumpur. Through it costed $113 a night it was still worth it because of the beautiful lavish rooms, the delicious food it severed in the restaurant on the bottom levels, and it even had a POOL to swim in! In some rooms even had stairs that led up onto the second level! I must say it was very nice to stay at this lavish hotel.
