1. My opinion on Suzy at the beginning of the story is that she’s a privileged condescending girl and doesn’t know anything about Leahs life and what she went through, my opinion on her at the end of the story is that she’s starting to understand what is war and why Leah acts the way she does.

2. Learning more about Suzy’s perspective helped my opinion on her change because I saw how her life and the people around her effected her and how most of her thoughts weren’t actually what she thought but thoughts of people around her.

Toward the end of the story my opinion of her changed because I understood that she didn't know what happened to Leah and how she ended up in the refugee camp and that she went through a change of heart about Leah.

My impression of Suzy at the beginning of the story was pretty bad. I didn't liked the way she treated Leah. At the end Suzy became nicer and had more empathy for Leah. In my opinion, Suzy became a better person by the end of the story.
Learning more about Suzy's perspective helped me to understand her, but I still think her behaviour was unforgivable. She needed to show more empathy from the beginning.

1. At the start of the story, we thought that Suzy was an inconsiderable, intolerable, idiotic imbecile. Towards the end of the story Suzy was beginning to change her attitude towards Leah. She started to realize what Suzy had been through and she started to see her perspective and understand her experiences.

2. At first we thought she already knew about all the horrors Leah went through and was just being an American with how she chose to ignore them. Then, later on, we first discovered that she had absolutely no idea of what happened in central Europe. Now she just looks like someone who's been living under a rock.

1. At the beginning I thought Suzy was a really nice girl which just tried to help the refugees but after a while I understood that she was actually self-centered who disrespected the refugees and thought they were just some new immigrants that came to U.S.A. In the end after Suzy read Leah’s diary she showed empathy and finally realized all the pain the refugees were going through in Europe. Then she became Leah’s friend and a better person.
2. It effected my opinion and point of view about Suzy because in the beginning she didn’t even imagine how Leah and the others suffered so much due to that in America they only read newspapers about what is happening in Europe and were unaware of all the horrors the refugees went through.

1.I think that in the beginning of the story Suzy was selfish and judging. She got the wrong impresion about Leah because of these qualities.
At the end of the story she became more sensitive and understanding.

2.Learning more about Suzy's perspective made me like her better. At first i didn't like her, but after I saw the story from her point of view, I realised why she acted the way she did.
