i would feel hope and uncertainty. hope for a brighter future that they talk about, the religion, freedom, equality. However, I would also feel uncertain because although they speak of a good future, our current present is growing to become bad. How can the future be so good if what we're doing right now is leading to bad?

I think I would be extremely confused, because "freedom and equality" suggests that everybody will have equal rights and more freedom of choice, but enslavement is the exact opposite of that.
