- No group loyalty at first, since majority of the characters are racial intolerant > drives segregation

SIMILARITIES
- A leader-like figure in both texts (8th Juror / Eddie Mabo)
- Majority of the white people in both texts aren't afriad to express their opinions (usually racist)

MABO
- Eddie Mabo was the first person to take a stand for land rights for indigenous people. The land that they called Murray Island
- For group loyalty, you could say that the whole indigenous and Torres Strait Island community and family that he had back in Murray Island
