Last year. Some friends from junior high school and I went to one of our friends' houses (Iqbal) to break the fast together. There, we ordered food online through GoFood. After ordering, one of my friends, Iqbal, went downstairs to wait for the order. I didn't know that Iqbal had gone downstairs, so I went looking for him because I wanted to talk to him about something. I went downstairs and found someone I thought was Iqbal. I tapped him on the shoulder and called his name. The person was shocked, and I was shocked too. It turned out to be Iqbal's older brother. Iqbal, who saw what happened, laughed out loud, and his brother and I also laughed, even though I felt a little embarrassed.

When I was a student, I participated in a Community Service Program known as Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). For a month, my team and I lived together in a village. One day, the villagers invited the male members of our team to attend a religious gathering. All the Muslim men went to the event and returned with hands full, carrying a besek - a traditional woven bamboo food container.

To our surprise, after everyone had returned, the villagers sent even more besek to our post, so that night we were partically flooded with food. Since we received far more than we could eat, we decided to share some of the besek with another student group staying in a nearby village.

Before delivering them, one of my friends opened a besek in front of me. He suddenly looked startled as he peered inside. Not wanting to be surprised himself, he reached into the basket and pulled out an object that looked like a small, thin wooden board. We stared at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter.

It turned out that the “wooden board” was actually a very pitiful-looking piece of fried tuna! We assumed there must have been some kind of human error when the villagers were packing the besek. Because of that incident, we ended up having to check each besek one by one to make sure the contents were suitable to be distributed to the team in the nearby village.

When I was a university student, the pandemic struck globally, paralyzing various sectors—including education. As a result, my friends and I did not meet for a long time until we became final-year students. After the quarantine period ended and the pandemic was officially declared over, we returned to campus to continue our studies.

Unlike the pre-pandemic days, we were no longer bound by busy class schedules. Our main responsibility as final-year students was simply to complete our theses.

One day, my thesis partner and I needed to take care of some academic paperwork. That night, we agreed to meet at the intersection leading to campus. As the meeting time approached the next day, I contacted my friend to let her know that I had arrived. She replied briefly, saying that she was already there too—at the place where we had agreed to meet.

Hearing that, I looked around. There weren’t many people passing by that day, but I couldn’t see her anywhere. I texted again to make sure she had really arrived, worried that something might have happened to her. I waited, feeling uneasy, until suddenly a girl standing beside me tilted her head, waved, and laughed.

She said, “I’ve been here all along, right next to you. Who are you looking for? Don’t you recognize me?”

I was stunned to realize that the girl who had been standing beside me all this time was her! She looked completely different from the last time we met—beautiful. I felt embarrassed for not recognizing her, while she burst out laughing, delighted that she had successfully fooled me.

You lost?” I froze and said, “Uh…isnt this the hall?” They laughed kindly and brought me to the hall.

I followed my seniors, feeling super embarrassed.

Last month, my family and I went to a wedding party in the city. I was so excited because my aunty bella was coming too. I hadn’t seen her for almost five years since she moved abroad for work. I still remembered her as a woman with long curly hair, glasses, and a cheerful smile.

When we arrived, I saw a lady sitting near the entrance. She had short brown hair, wore a modern dress, and looked very confident. From a distance, I thought she was my aunty. Without thinking, I ran to her and said loudly, “Aunty Bella! I missed you so much!” The woman looked surprised for a moment and then laughed softly. “Oh, I’m sorry, dear. I’m not your aunty,” she said kindly.

I felt my face turn red with embarrassment. My parents laughed and pointed behind me. When I turned around, I saw the real Aunty Bella waving at me. She looked completely different! Her hair was short and straight, and she no longer wore glasses. She looked younger and more stylish.

I ran to hug her, and we both laughed about my mistake. She said, “I guess I’ve changed a lot, haven’t I?” I nodded and laughed again. That day taught me to look carefully before jumping to conclusions. It was such a funny and unforgettable moment for me.

I saw an old friend of mine, so I called out his name loudly. He didn't notice me, so I tapped him on the shoulder. When he saw me, he was shocked to discover he wasn't my friend. I was so embarrassed. Afterward, I apologized for calling him the wrong person.

Footbal change my live

Interviewer (I): Good evening, Cristiano. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us.

Cristiano Ronaldo (CR): My pleasure. Thank you for having me.

I: We want to talk about your journey, specifically how football has fundamentally changed your life. Can you start by taking us back to the very beginning? What was life like before football became your profession?

CR: That’s a good question. Life was very different. I grew up in a humble area in Madeira. We didn't have much. My focus was simple: survive, and play football in the streets whenever I could. There was a lot of passion, but also a lot of struggle and uncertainty about the future.

I: At what moment did you realize that football wasn't just a passion, but a potential path to a better life?

CR: When I moved to Lisbon to join Sporting CP's academy, that was the real turning point. I was just 12. It was incredibly tough being away from my family, but it was also the moment I saw the real, tangible opportunity. It was a massive sacrifice, but I told myself: "This is it. This is your chance to change everything for your family."

I: You’ve often spoken about the mentality needed for success. How much of your transformation is due to talent, and how much is pure hard work and mindset?

CR: Look, talent is a gift, but it's only about 10%. The other 90% is hard work, dedication, and the right mentality. Football gave me a discipline I wouldn't have had otherwise. It taught me about pushing limits, about recovery, about eating right. It wasn't just about scoring goals; it was about creating a machine that could perform consistently at the highest level. That work ethic... that's what truly changed my life.

I: Beyond the personal wealth and fame, what is the most significant non-material way football has changed you as a person?

CR: It's given me a platform to inspire. To show kids from backgrounds similar to mine that it is possible. It’s not about the trophies or the money—it's about the responsibility that comes with the name. To use my voice to help others, especially through my charity work. That sense of purpose is the biggest change. Football gave me a voice, and that is priceless.

I: You've achieved everything possible in the sport. If you could give one piece of advice to the young, struggling Cristiano in Madeira, what would you say?

CR: I would look him in the eye and say: "Keep your head down, work harder than everyone else, and never, ever forget where you came from." The struggles of the past are what fuel the success of the present.

I: A truly inspiring message. Cristiano Ronaldo, thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

CR: Thank you. It was a pleasure.

After a while, I told her I wanted to buy a drink from a nearby stall. She nodded and waited on a bench.

When I came back a few minutes later, I saw someone wearing the exact same blue jacket my mom was wearing. Without thinking twice, I ran toward her and said, “Mom! You won’t believe what happened—”

The woman turned around, and to my horror—it wasn’t my mom! I froze for a second, then quickly apologized while blushing so hard. The woman just smiled kindly.

Then, as I looked around, I saw my real mom sitting a few benches away, laughing because she saw everything. I ran to her and said, “Mom! You could’ve called me!” She just laughed even harder.

Stay Strong on the Road: Essential Tips for Staying Healthy While Travelling

Here are some useful tips to help you stay healthy and comfortable throughout your trip. Travelling can be exciting, but it can also be tiring if you don’t take care of your body. Long journeys, unfamiliar food, and changing weather can affect your health. That’s why it’s important to follow a few simple habits to keep yourself feeling fresh and energetic.

First, drink enough water every day. When you travel, especially in hot or crowded places, your body can get dehydrated quickly. Drinking enough water helps maintain your energy levels and prevents dizziness, headaches, and fatigue. Keeping a refillable water bottle with you is always a smart choice.

Second, eat light and healthy meals. Trying new food is fun, but eating too much or choosing unhealthy meals can upset your stomach. Light and nutritious meals will give your body the energy it needs without making you feel heavy or uncomfortable. This is especially helpful when you have a busy travel schedule.

Third, make sure you get enough sleep. Many travelers skip rest because they want to explore as much as possible, but lack of sleep can weaken your immune system. When you sleep well, your body recovers, your mood improves, and you’ll have more strength to enjoy your activities the next day.

Fourth, wash your hands regularly. You touch many surfaces when travelling—public transportation, restaurants, doors, and more. Washing your hands or using hand sanitizer helps prevent germs, viruses, and bacteria from spreading. This simple habit can save you from getting sick on your trip.

In summary, taking care of your health while travelling is not difficult—just remember to stay hydrated, eat well, rest enough, and maintain good hygiene.

By following these tips, you can enjoy every moment of your journey without worrying about getting sick. Safe and happy travels!

To begin with, choose destinations that fit everyone’s interests so the trip feels fair and enjoyable, then set a shared budget to avoid misunderstandings and keep expenses comfortable for all. It is also helpful to look for affordable accommodations like hostels or guesthouses to save money, and during the trip, wear comfortable shoes, pack only essential items, and keep your belongings secure to make traveling easier. Staying aware of your surroundings and avoiding the display of expensive items is equally important to ensure safety. Overall, backpacking with friends becomes much more enjoyable when everyone is prepared and considerate, and with the right planning and positive spirit, the journey will be filled with meaningful moments worth remembering.

You shouldn't share too much personal information with strangers. you never know who might use that information to scam or steal from you.

First, Establish a "Need to Know" Baseline if a stranger or new acquaintance doesn't need a specific piece of information to complete a transaction or task, don't share it. Master the Art of the Vague Answer, When asked a personal question, offer a general or high-level response that satisfies the conversational need without giving away, specific details. Never Share Financial or Security Data, this information is almost never required in casual conversation. Strangers only need it if they are actively trying to scam or compromise you.

Second, review your Social Media Privacy Settings, Even if you don't share directly with a stranger, they might find it online. Assume anything set to "Public" is available to anyone, anywhere. Be Cautious with "Friendly" Data Collection, Be suspicious of surveys, quizzes, or even overly friendly people who ask a rapid series of basic questions (What street did you grow up on? What was your first car?). These can be attempts to gather information for social engineering or identity theft, if you feel intterogated, politely, say "I'd prefer not to share that detail, but thanks for asking."

And last one is Trust Your Intuition and Walk Away, If a conversation makes you feel uneasy, if the person is being too pushy for details, or if it feels too personal, you are always allowed to end the interaction.

In short, you have to know what is safe for you, but you don't have to be too cautious about everything.

maybe, that's all from me. thank you for listening...

We thought we knew the way, but the dense pine trees made everything look exactly the same. The sun set incredibly fast, and panic set in when we realized our flashlights were dim and we couldn't recognize the path back to the camp. The sounds of the night animals began to emerge, and we just huddled together. After almost two hours of walking aimlessly, we finally saw the faint lights of the tents. That experience taught us a huge lesson about following rules and never underestimating nature!

Stay on marked trails so you don’t get lost, and keep your belongings secure in zipped pockets. Remember to stay hydrated, respect nature by not disturbing wildlife or leaving trash, and be cautious around strangers in isolated areas.

Hi Everyone. Welcome back to our podcast, where we will talk to athletes who inspire millions through dedication and discipline. Today, I’m honored to speak directly with one of Indonesia’s badminton players, Jonatan Christie. Jonatan, thank you for joining us.

Jonatan, let’s start from the beginning. How did you start playing badminton?

I started playing badminton when I was very young. My family introduced me to the sport, and I began playing just for fun. Over time, my parents saw that I really enjoyed it and had potential, so they supported me to train more seriously at a badminton club.

That’s interesting. Why did you choose to be a badminton athlete?

At first, I didn’t think about becoming a professional athlete. But as I trained more and joined competitions, I realized this sport gave me happiness and challenges. Badminton taught me discipline and mental strength, and I wanted to see how far I could go. Representing Indonesia also became a big motivation for me.

How did you learn badminton techniques and skills to reach a professional level?

It was a long process. I learned from coaches who guided me step by step. I also learned a lot by watching senior players, analyzing matches, and learning from both wins and losses.

How has badminton changed your life?

It gave me opportunities I never imagined, traveling the world, meeting amazing people, and much more. Badminton also taught me how to handle pressure and stay focused, not only on the court but in life.

Finally, looking ahead, what are your long term goals?

My long term goals are to keep performing at my best, win more major international titles, and consistently represent Indonesia with pride.

Thank you, Jonatan, for sharing your journey and insights. Your story is a powerful reminder that passion and discipline can truly change lives. To our listeners, keep chasing your goals, just like Jonatan Christie does.

For beginner backpackers, good preparation is the key to a safe and enjoyable trip. Start by researching your destination carefully, including the weather, local culture, transportation options, and basic costs, so you can plan carefully. Pack light and only bring essential items to avoid unnecessary weight. Always keep important documents, money, and valuables secure. Learn basic travel skills such as reading maps, using and choosing the most efficient transportation, and managing a simple budget. Try not to play with your phone all the time while traveling, but take time to enjoy the surrounding scenery, interact with locals, and fully experience the moment. Finally, prioritize your health and safety by staying aware of your surroundings, trusting your instincts, and taking care of your physical condition during the journey.

In a world where every hour feels increasingly precious, small choices often shape the rhythm of our day more than we realize. These habits can keep us extremely busy and make us wish for extra hours in a day. People might think that it’s impossible, but it is.

Here are some tips on how to make it happen.

First, stay relaxed and keep your life well-prioritized. Having a busy life can drain your energy quickly. Grab some sticky notes from your desk and create a to-do list. Using the Eisenhower Matrix is a great way to stay organized.

Second, if you like consuming spicy food or drinking caffeine, it’s better to change your habits. Starting to consume healthy food is a good way to reduce the risk of disease.

Then, during this transitional season, taking vitamins helps maintain your immune system. Don’t forget to stay in the shade and use sunscreen when you go outside. Keeping your body in good condition is the best investment to gain your 'extra'.

Is that the key? No. The key is to ensure your body stays hydrated by always carrying a tumbler in your backpack. By regularly hydrating your body, you are investing in staying in top condition. This allows you to achieve more subconsciously. So, what are you waiting for? Get your OMyAw tumbler now at your favorite store.

mistaken at mall

Last Saturday afternoon, I went to the mall with my sister and my cousin. The mall was very crowded because it was the weekend, but I was still excited. We walked around the mall, visited many stores, and looked at clothes and accessories. I enjoyed spending time with them because we don’t hang out together very often.

After walking for a long time, we started to feel tired and hungry. We decided to buy some food at the food court. I ordered fried rice, while my sister bought chicken and iced tea. Then, we looked for empty seats and ate together while chatting and laughing. The atmosphere was very fun and relaxing.

After we finished eating, we continued walking around the mall. We wanted to visit a bookstore and a shoe store. While walking, I suddenly saw someone who looked very similar to my close friend from school. She had the same height and hairstyle. Without thinking too much, I called her name loudly, but she didn’t respond. I felt confused, so I walked closer and tapped her shoulder.

When she turned around, I realized she was not my friend at all. I was really shocked and embarrassed. My face felt hot, and I didn’t know what to say. I quickly apologized to her and explained that I thought she was my friend. Luckily, she smiled and said it was okay.

After that, I went back to my sister and cousin and told them what happened. They laughed so hard, and I also laughed even though I was still embarrassed. In the end, we went home feeling tired but happy. That day became a funny and unforgettable memory r me.

Hi everyone. Welcome back to our podcast. Today, we’re going to talk with a fencing athlete who inspires many people through hard work and discipline. I’m happy to welcome Dimas Putra, a young fencing athlete who has competed in several tournaments. Dimas, thank you for joining us today.

(1) Let’s start from the beginning. How did you start fencing?

I started fencing when I was in junior high school. At that time, my sports teacher introduced fencing to me. At first, it felt a bit strange because I had never seen this sport before. But after a few practices, I started to enjoy it and wanted to learn more.

(2) What made you choose fencing instead of other sports?

At first, I didn’t plan to choose fencing. I tried several sports, but fencing felt different. It needs focus, speed, and strategy. I liked how fencing is not only about strength but also about thinking fast. That’s why I decided to focus on fencing.

(3)How do you train to improve your skills?

I train regularly with my coach and teammates. We practice footwork, attacks, and defense. My coach also teaches me how to stay calm during matches. Besides training, I watch fencing videos to learn new techniques and improve my style.

(4) What challenges have you faced as a fencing athlete?

One of the biggest challenges is staying consistent. Training can be tiring, and sometimes I feel bored or lose motivation. I also feel nervous before competitions. But I always remind myself why I started and try to stay positive.

(5)How has fencing changed your life?

Fencing has changed my life a lot. It taught me discipline, patience, and confidence. I also learned how to control my emotions and respect my opponents. Through fencing, I met many new friends and gained valuable experiences.

(6) What message would you like to share with young people?

My message is simple: don’t be afraid to try new things. Even if a sport looks difficult at first, you might end up loving it. Keep practicing, stay focused, and never give up on your dreams.

Thank you for your time and story.

Thank you. I hope my story can inspire others.

For people who are traveling for the first time, good preparation is very important. Before you go, make sure you know where you are going and how to get there. Check the weather so you can bring the right clothes. It’s also a good idea to plan your budget and not spend too much money on things you don’t really need.

When packing your bag, don’t bring too many items. Bring only important things like clothes, toiletries, phone chargers, and personal documents. A lighter bag will make your trip more comfortable and easier. Always keep your money and important items in a safe place.

During the trip, try to stay aware of your surroundings. Pay attention to people and places around you, especially if you are in a new area. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you feel confused or lost.

In Indonesia, daily activities can be very busy and tiring. From school, work, to traveling, many people feel stressed and exhausted at the end of the day. Because of that, taking a short break and enjoying a warm drink can really help the body and mind relax.

One simple and healthy choice is herbal tea. Herbal tea is made from natural ingredients like ginger, lemongrass, or chamomile. It has a calming taste and is good for the body. You can make it at home by boiling the ingredients in hot water and letting it rest for a few minutes. Drinking herbal tea can help you feel more relaxed and comfortable.

However, sometimes people do not have enough time to prepare herbal tea themselves. Busy schedules make it hard to do everything at home. That is why ready-to-drink herbal tea can be a practical option. It is easy to prepare and can be enjoyed anytime, especially after a long day.

Herbal tea is not only warm and comforting, but also helps refresh the body naturally. It is a simple way to stay healthy and relaxed wherever you are.
