This video is showing different hairstyles for women throughout 100 years in the USA.
Comment: I think this is fascinating because I wasn't aware of how many different hairstyles they could have gone through over the years. It is a short video but it shows you all the different hairstyles from being long to short and vis versa. I honestly wasn't aware of how many different hairstyles they went through and it was interesting to find out
(Cut, 2014).

This video is showing the different hairstyles for men through out 100 years in the USA.
Comment: I thought this was really interesting because it started off with guys having short hair to leading to them having long hair then back to short. I found it interesting how for so many years long hair was the style and then hitting 2000s it went back to short. It all makes sense to when I recognized old hairstyles that now I know what time they came from.
(Cut, 2015).

This video is showing the different hairstyles that Italy faced throughout the 100 years.
Comment: Why I chose this one specifically is because I am Italian and it was amazing to see how the hair styles evolved throughout the years. I really enjoyed these type of videos and why I chose these ones first. Looking at the first video I posted it is easy to see how much over the years that they were very different. It is good to be aware of the different hairstyles that our ancestors have worn and could only wear but not they let us go freely with our hair.
(Cut, 2015).

This website pertains to the evolution hair starting from 14th Century B.C. to 2000s.
Comment: It was interesting reading through to see the different hairstyles that took place back then and how they are now. I wasn't aware of how many changes of hairstyles that women went through in their life time. It's amazing to see the hairstyles now that people have because its all so different. Back then all the guys and girls had the same hairstyle and if it wasn't the same then it's like you don't fit in.
(You Beauty, 2011).

This website explains how colour dye for hair came to be and how it has changed/will change for the past, present and future.
Comment: When I was reading this website I had no idea how dye got invented. I thought it was back in the 1800 but it was actually in the 1900's. Thinking about the colour now there is so many options that you can chose from. There is vibrant to dark to light and it’s amazing how there are a lot to choose from. There wasn’t much option to get back then when changing hair colours to different colours it would have to be just mainly one colour. I think it’s amazing to see the transformation on how more accepting we are today with colouring.
(Murdock, n.d.).

This website shows the 1920's popular look for hair and there is lots of styles they chose from.
Comment: After looking and researching the different hairstyles I decided that the 1920's look was my favourite. This is because it amazes me how they get their hair that way. It shows how they had their hair if it was long or short but for the most it was short hair. For example the waves that they put in their hair (as shown in the bottom left corner photo). The hair styles were very interesting to learn.
(Vintage Dancer, n.d.).

This is showing one of the popular hairstyles in the 1970's also known as the 'Disco Divas'. There was lots of different styles in the 1970's but this one was the one I liked most.
Comment: This is another one of my favourite hairstyles because of the way that their hair compliments their face. It as well looks very soft and shinny. I love the way it looks wavy and kind of has this natural look to it. It doesn't look like it takes too much time to do and I would like to see this hairstyle back today. I want to try it on myself to see if I would like it and how long it would really take.
(Best Pickr, n.d.).

(You will have to click on the link to see the photo).
This hairstyle is from the 1960's. Comment: The reason why I like this one is because of how short and how they are able to curl the bottom of their hair up. I like how their hair goes up a little high and then comes straight down. It looks as if there is something hiding in the hair to keep it up. I really enjoy this hairstyle. The hairstyle was very popular back then and I wish I could see more like it today.
(Whos Dated Who, 2019).

After researching the different hairstyles I have chosen the 3 ones I like the most and I am going to share them with you.
These photos look at the 1980's most popular looks throughout the years.
Comment: What I really like about the 1980's hairstyles is that this is where we really see coloured hair. Meaning that people are dying their hair different likes red, yellow, orange etc... It is not your typical just black, blonde or brown even though there still is they are just not afraid to be different. I like how as well that their hairstyles are either big and puffy or short and puffy. It kind of reminds me of the 1970's hairstyle but has a more odd and funky look to it. I really enjoyed learning about this hair style.
(Stylisheve, 2011).
