What I did this summer

This summer was pretty un eventful for me, mostly staying home and just de-stressing after sophomore year and preparing for my junior year. I went to valley fair once but only went on around 3 rides cause I have a fear of heights. I worked at the state fair for the Minnesota wild rice council, I ate foods there but didn’t go on any rides. Most of my time was spent at the gym, at home playing video games, and spending time with my lovely cat (named ocean).

One thing that’s going well

The goal I have for myself for academics is going pretty well. I try to hold myself at a pretty high standard and am continually learning with managing my standard for my goals. But learning how to time manage with my classes and extracurriculars is sometimes difficult but mostly going well. I have other things going well in my life but I feel like those are the most prominent ones for me.

My names Jocelyn Whitney, I’ve lived in Minnesota my whole life the only big change in location for me was moving from Eden prairie to fridley when I was younger. I have a half sister named Darrien who’s literally a decade older than me, but she’s awesome. I live with my mom who’s also awesome, and I have a cat named ocean who is a sweetheart. I have a pretty small friend group that I've had since around 8th grade. I’ve done lacrosse in the past but then quit after a year due to lung issues, this year I’m planning on doing shotput/ discus for track and field.

Strengths and interests

One of my interests is reading, I try to do it as much as I can in my free time. My favorite books are probably Carmilla, Midnight sun, and the zodiac. An additional interest of mine is probably weight training, I just like doing it in my free time. My last interest is video games, my favorites are The last of us, resident evil (2), and until dawn. A strength I have is communication, I like to try and talk to people I don’t know and get to know them.
