• Arranged a production meeting for Colin (as director didn’t do anything) and created Padlet. 

2/10/24 - Both Scene Recreation

• Met actors we’ll be working with, showed them the scenes.

• Created a group chat with cast & crew.

• Held a production meeting with a crew for River City.

6/10/24 - River City

• Updated the template for the production meetings of River City.

• Wrote down a risk assessment for the River City shoot.

7/10/24 - General

• Due to being unwell, I skipped the day at college. I checked on Canvas (as my lecturer said) the schedule for class and started researching everything at home.

• I watched a few tutorials on YouTube about slate on the shoot and how to do it.

• As a runner for River City, I made minutes for the last production meeting before the shoot. Arranged a place for a meeting (added chairs for everyone). Helped the director to mention everything important for the shoot.

• As a PC for Colin, I followed up with the director for other recreation, and we arranged a production meeting.

• As a gaffer for River City, I practiced using lights during our exercise.

5/11/24 - General and Both Scene Rec

• As I missed the Monday class last week, I made sure to finish reading all the slides on Canvas and prepare myself for the shoot tomorrow.

• I also made sure to update our minutes in the PC’s padlet for Rivercity.

• For the Colin from Accounts, I made a list of paperwork that each member of the crew needs to finish before or after the shoot; this way it will be easier for me as a PC to control the flow.

6/11/24 - River City

• We had a shoot, and as a gaffer, I did the lighting plot and was helping during the shoot as a runner. 

• I bought snacks and drinks for the crew, so they wouldn't starve.

20/11/24 - Colin

• I kept asking the crew for submitting paperwork.

27/11/24 - Colin

• We had a shoot, and I did the cinematographer role.

• I made tentacles and monitor work.

• Did the Ursa handheld shots.

• Finished the edit of the scene, learned how to do the colour grading in Da Vinci, and credits in Avid. 

• Uploaded the finished work to Padlet.

• Emailed a potential guest and talked with him after getting fast replies.

• Started writing questions for the show.

• Took a book from a library for working in the studio, as I missed HNC and don’t want to miss out on knowledge.

• I finished the paperwork for the studio show and submitted it on the Padlet.

• Had the rehearsal of my studio show and got feedback from Noemi and my class for how to make it better.

• Based on the feedback, I will change the floor plan and script.

• Did the role of camera op, improvised with shots that the director liked.

• Emailed both of the makeup artists booked for Show 3.

• After not getting a response on the emails, I contacted a makeup artist who helped us for Project 2. She got me the numbers of the makeup artists who were available for the shoot, and I contacted them directly.

• Sent a reminder to guests about the shoot and the questions they will need to be prepared for.

• Shooting day of Show 3.

• Filmed vox pops for the VTs.

• While writing the essay for Screen Studies, I watched the video (VoxHow Technicolor changed movies) and did a big research on the color in movies.

• Wrote most of the essay, skipped the conclusion.

• Attended a production meeting with a crew, got updates on the production.

• Made a list of props to help the Props and Set Designer person.

• Tried to help director with a shot list and got rejected.

• Looked over the locations for the shoot.

• We had a practice of the scene, I made the mock of continuity log.

22/02 - 23/02

• Finally got the shot list for the scenes script.

• Did the tramlines of the script over the next day.

• Had the production meeting, got updates about the shoot.

• Finished the Continuity Breakdown of props.

• Finished making Continuity Log template.

17/03

• Had one more rehearsal of the scene, I was acting and making log of continuity.

19/03

• Director decided to switch the scenes and didn’t inform the crew. I needed to redo the tramlines of the script and when pointed mistakes got a reply ‘I don’t have time to change it leave it as it is’, so I couldn't tramline some of the scenes.

24/03

• During the first day of shoot I was giving direction to a director as she was incompetent and didn’t know what to do. The whole shooting day I was overlooking the monitor to say what looks good/bad.

• At the same time I was following the script in case anything was different and I needed to make notes.

• During shoot I also took notes for continuity, I realised that my template wasn’t convenient enough so I changed it for the next days of the shoot.

25/03 - 3/04

• I was taking notes in Continuity Log (this includes camera details, actors blocking, props and other notes). Paperwork is uploaded on Padlet.

• Updated latest ver of the paperwork to Padlet as now everything was updated.

21/04

• Made new tramlines based on my continuity log and uploaded it onto Padlet.

Notes: As I was the one with a laptop, I transferred footage every shooting day, making sure it was well recorded. After the last dat of shoot, I created a project on Avid.

24/04 - got feedback from director, made some changes, and did 2 versions of the master timeline: one fully followed the script, second one based on my thoughts of how it makes more sense.

25/04 - sent both versions to director for feedback

29/04 - copied the porject and Master Folder to Sound Editor (Sam)

11/05 - rewatched the reel, got the feedback from the peer, made notes of what I want to change again

• On the 26th of Feb, I contacted one of the MUAs, Amy, to help her film the showreel.

• On the 1st of March, we had our first voice chat talking about the idea and how to make it work. We kept communicating the whole month of March.

• On 12th of March, I booked the equipment.

• I picked up the equipment on 7th of April.

• On the 11th of April, we had a second call, and we planned the shooting day together, discussing the storyboard.

• On 16 April, I worked as a cinematographer, and we filmed the project. Due to Amy stressing, I took the responsibility of changing original ideas (the location was a little bit different than expected).

• On the 21st of April, I finished the editing.

• Nickayla, one more MUA, texted me after finding out that I'm helping Amy. I worked with Nickayla for the Studio Show in December 2024.

• On the 2nd of March, I had a video chat with her to talk about the project. I got photos of the location, and we discussed the idea.

• On the 12th of March, I booked the equipment.

• We kept in touch the whole month of March; she showed me the practice makeup and the costume.

• On the 5th of April, we had a call talking about the storyboard. I explained how to do it and what I need to get from it as a videographer. We also agreed to have the shoot on Monday and Tuesday due to having two different locations.

• I picked up the equipment on 7th of April.

• On the 10th-12th of April, Nickayla let me know she didn't do the storyboard and gave me a text list of the shots she wants to have.

• On the 14th/15th of April, while I was on the train to Balloch, I made a storyboard.

• On the 19th of April, I finished the edit.
