Megatron, the Self-Reliant Tyrant

"Everything is Fodder"
- Megatron, Transformers Profile D-16 "MEGATRON".

Often referred to as "The Slag-Maker", Megatron is an Emperor of Destruction, who seeks an ultimate glory through conquest. Formerly a lowly miner turned gladiatorial champion, Megatron had grown fed up with the constant struggle of corruption in his home planet and struck out to create a New World Order led by his regime, the Decepticons. As the first and foremost leader of this tyrannical empire, Megatron has turned himself into a living instrument of destruction, even at the risk of his own life. Though he has used many a weapon over the years, none stand out as more menacing than his Arm-Mounted Fusion Cannon, "The power which resides in him is new in nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried."
Megatron is above all else interested in himself and him alone. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "A man is relieved and
gay when he has put his heart into his work and done his best; but what he has said or done otherwise, shall give him no peace." Megatron views his conquest as merely a duty he must serve to bring order and prosperity to his kind, even at the cost of all other life.

"Understand this: so long as you stand in my way - so long as anybody stands in my way - I will respond by killing. Murder on an industrial scale. Because, in the final analysis, I would happily wade across a river of corpses, chest-deep in rust and grease and engine oil just to crush the spark of the last Autobot standing."
- Megatron, Transformers #22 "Chaos Theory, Part 1"

All the natural beauty of this great Earth has long since been ignored in favor of an ever oppressive commercial reality.
"And no one knows the wheres or whys" - Nobody questions the reasoning behind the universe itself, taking everything at face value instead of looking into a much greater meaning.
"But something stirs and something tries" - Our inner need to explore and experience the world for ourselves, trying to reach out and feel something, anything out in the great beyond.
"And starts to climb towards the light" - We begin the process of transcending, reaching out towards the light to claim our own personal understandings of the world at large.

The Life of Nikola Tesla.

Nikola Tesla was a genius inventor who was the father of our knowledge of electromagnetism. Much of his work was largely ignored by the public, and what was taken notice of was credited to Thomas Edison, a Businessman first and an inventor second. Tesla would later die alone and impoverished, despite all his achievements to the prosperity of mankind.
