Ashon had always loved dancing, the thought of implementing body movement into a piece of art, to signify a message, any message whether it be politically inclined, an emotional expression, or even an act to express oneself (etc..) had always been something he found intriguing. 

Born in Ghana, he enjoyed dancing traditionally; dances from his culture, it’s what he danced along to as a child. From dances such as Adowa and Agbadza they were a reminder, no, a representation of what he found beautiful and the love he held for his culture. Discharging to pursue his dream he bought his own dance studio. Every last penny spent had been worth it, and so with his family, the people who stood by his difficult to accomplish aspiration he with-held a celebration through another traditional dance known to his culture, Kpanlogo.

Ashon, his mother (Hani-Ah), his father (Jabbar), fiancée (Lu’lu), followed with a lot of friends and family were celebrating the grand opening of Ashon’s dance studio.

Ashon:  Thank you everyone, thank you so much for being here for me. Thank you for supporting me. Couldn’t have made it this far without the encouragement of my lovely family and fiancée. He looks at his mother and father lovingly, grabbing Lu’lu closer by the small of her back.

Lu’lu: Yes, Thank you for celebrating the love of my life on his wonderful accomplishment. She looks  at her soulmate with the same loving gaze.

Hani-Ah: I am so very grateful for having such an amazing son as Ashon. He’s loved dance since he was in the womb. I remember his kicks very well. They felt very painful. I knew that’d he be a dancer from then on. I always known he’d be successful. I couldn’t be any prouder. She kisses her son’s head.

Jabbar: Yes son, we are very proud of you. He grins widely. Patting his son on the back.

Ashon: We’ll enough chit chat lets celebrate. He says excitedly.
