The Pilgrims decided to leave England because of the fear of the Black Plague, the paranoia of the new King and uncertainty of their religious future. Their American dream was to live a life with the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion without persecution. To raise their families without someone telling them how.</div>]]></description>

The church dominates the Puritan culture. They value hard work and stick religious adherence. Most of these values shaped their American dream.
